    • Race video showing the difference between a C63 AMG with just an ECU tune and a C63 with an ECU tune plus headers and exhaust

This video comes from two BenzBoost members with modified W204 C63 AMG sedans, users Mthis and JonsC63AMG. The modifications on JonsC63AMG are an OE Tuning ECU tune, everything else is stock. The C63 taping the race belongs to Mthis and has an updating OE Tuning ECU tune along with long tube headers, BMC filters, 3 inch mid pipes, and some lightweight mods. Despite a lead and jump by the C63 belonging to Jon the C63 recording showed the horsepower disparity reeling him in and passing him. Exhaust modifications clearly make a nice difference on the C63 and compliment a tune well.

I dont have any lightweight mods in reality, my car weighs a tick over 4200 pounds with me sitting in the drivers seat. The blower, intercoolers, trans cooler and ice tank add up rather quickly. I do have some lightweight seats but my car is a couple hundered pounds hevier than a stock black series with fluids....but I hear what you're saying.

ATCO is too far for me to travel during a weeknight but I'm going to try and hit Englishtown tomorrow if the weather holds.

Jon comments about hagi's 50 pound weight saving mods, but don't talk about the 100+ pound disparity between the 2 drivers!Click here to enlarge
The runs were within 1car. Where did I post I beat anyone buslengths? BTW When I ran Hagi the first run was a clean start. Much closer outcome. That video he gave me a head start. Don't know why? But still within 1 car from 35-140ish. Which I think is close. If you want to in the weight difference comparison. Hagis car has superlight wheels about 18lbs each, carbon hood and trunk. Also our weight difference is about 30-40lbs. So he still has the weight advantage.

3-4 cars is a raping. Do you like starting a argument?

I was thinking the same thing but didnt want to say anything.

Summary..The video posted is not proper. The tuned C63 was already ahead of the LT tuned C63 and kicked earlier. In addition, The complete race was not shown. If Mthis had switched ECU's, then he would be having adaptations issues.

a LT header tuned M156 C63 will always slash a tune only C63, PERIOD. Heck Ive seen my brother's Header tuned SL63 (which 500lbs heavier than the C63) beat tuned C63's (when it was NA).

Let both cars kick thier engine 4 or 5 times hard prior to racing, cool your engines and race from 100 km- 250KM (side-by-side). Mthis car will destroy jons car.

you have to remember folks, the M156 loves LT headers, Its not just a 40-50 RWHP gain. It is also a 40-45 ft/lb gain of RWTQ. The airflow of the Engine and the response is changed drastically with a proper tune. High end power is especially a big advantage for a LT header C63.
Prior to our runs Hagi ran numerous times with the Z06 and Cls63. To be honest I thought it wasnt going to be close.

Jon why u think u kept up so much bro common
when I was passed u and u thought the pulling stop that was bc my car shifted to 5th and u were still in 4th, when u car would of shifted to 5 and we were to keep going you would have been couple cars behind.

Tell them what happened on the 1st run. Second run was right after 1st run. My temps jumped up to 230F. I think your 180ftstat helps. Hagi i really dont want to get into a argument. Your a cool person we had a nice dyno day.
