    • Speedriven claiming 1200+ horsepower "Anarchy" upgrade kit for the M275 twin turbo V12's (600, 65 AMG)

Talk about a bold claim. Now Speedriven has done some great work so do not get us wrong but 1200+ horsepower out of the M275 is a very bold claim to make. The 1200+ HP Anarchy package includes Garret Tial Turbos, custom Speedriven manifolds, custom air to water intercoolers, custom intake, fuel pump, larger injectors, transmission upgrade, and all associated hardware. The Anarchy package retails for $32,000.

Now, when making such a bold claim and putting out the specs and pricing where is the dyno? Where is the 1/4 mile time? Where is any support for the claim? We are not saying they have not hit this figure just we have seen these claims from Speedriven before without much supporting material. We are thrilled to see the M275 getting the attention it deserves but we want to see the wheel figures before recommending anyone blow $30,000 on anything.

Nope, it isn't. The V12 can make a ton of power before headwork although yes at some point it will be a limitation. Not sure if the head is a limiting factor for 1200 hp.

Looks like around 880 rwtq, too - the "spike" to 970+ notwithstanding.

Well hopefully they deliver I just don't understand making the product claims before the result.

        Here, here!!

That is a VERY bold claim without ANYTHING to back it up. They do good work, as I have seen on many boards. But to make a statment like this without a dyno sheetClick here to enlarge

I only hope that it IS true

Hope its true, but not sure I would hold my breath on this result. Dyno posted is 4th gear pull on a 5 speed trans to create artificially high number. Usually done in 3rd if not mistaken. Dyno numbers can be manipulated. How about a video and timeslip from the track. BTW, did they ever post any 1/4 mile numbers for the great white hope EV12?

On the 5 speed MB/AMG trans, 4th is the 1:1 gear - it shouldn't create an "artificially high" number. People only dyno the 5 speed in 3rd if they're avoiding a factory-tune speed limiter.

Yes, though, agree - dyno numbers can be manipulated. The reality in today's tuning market from what I can tell, is that if a handful of kits are in customers' hands, and they've dyno'd at independent facilities near wherever they're at, and the results come back the same as advertised by the company... you can believe the numbers aren't just "marketing" and are solid. Until then... there's always a healthy skepticism applied... fortunately or unfortunately, that's the way it seems to be.

        This correct.

Just was at Speedriven's site...not sure I like the new design, but they are also listing the highest package as 800 hp only...they got rid of the 1200 hp package. Anybody know what's going on over there? I know they just had a car in the shop putting close to 1k to the wheels, so not sure if it's just not official and you have to ask or what. Really was looking forward to seeing some obscene numbers from the V12s this year.

Interesting, why is that? I mean we should be seeing big numbers out of these huge V12's.

Are you sure about that? I haven't seen them crack 1000. This motor just doesn't seem flow well up top.

Yeah I'm not sure what's going on...I should try to see if my connect can get me any info haha. I know they just took in a couple W220s, I think one 600 and one 65. Hoping to see numbers from those sometime in the near future.

I'm pretty sure...it was on Facebook a while back. I'll try to dig it up. They are actually surprisingly active on there. They don't flow well, but with the type of boost they're running, especially at 6 liters and 12 cylinders, you're bound to make some power eventually. I really really really really really want someone to work on the damn heads. Can't be that hard...they aren't that complex, other than having twin plugs.

Yeah if you could get us the details on why they abandoned the 1200 that would be great.

These huge V12's haven't shown much over other smaller motors out-powering them. The heads and cam could use some attention.

Id take one of these big 1000 hp v12's revving out to 7400 rpm over a sc6.3 any day! In my dreams. Hopefully we will see some more development on the v12's this year.

I think the M156/M159 are just way better motors. They rev higher, better heads, larger displacement, etc.

A few years back they approached me into doing this kit at a REALLY good price. Sadly I did not have the time or resources at that point in time due to another kid being born. There is a guy on another forum that did do this. We are not excatly friends, but I will see if he will post up some info.

I think I know who you are referring to. I doubt anyone is friends with him. If it's who I think as well he also laughed at how badly he would beat my car (when it had bolt ons mind you). Would love to race and see who gets stomped considering I've seen him lose to stock internal supercharged M3's.

Oh we use Facebook to count friends these days. Hold up, going to go add like 30 people to bump my numbers. Should be at 30 now.

That said, it would be my pleasure to show you just how slow your SL is.
