    • Weistec built supercharged CLK63 AMG Black Series sets new M156 1/4 mile record and is the world's fastest Mercedes

We knew it was only a matter of time before Weistec took the M156 record. Not only did Weistec raise the bar for the M156 63 AMG motors with this record setting 1/4 mile pass, the overall fastest Mercedes record previously held by Renntech's SLR at 142 miles per hour was surpassed as well. The owner of the CLK63 Black Series (BenzBoost member ecampbell) managed 10.2@144 in California summer heat at the Auto Club Speedway in Pomona (Fontana) California.

The record pass was run with the car putting out 837 horsepower at the wheels (graph to be posted in separate article). Air temperature was around 100 degrees and the density altitude calculations are just under 4000 DA at 3934 feet above sea level. This means in the winter this is an EASY 9 second car approaching the 150 miler per hour mark. Regardless, it is still the World's Fastest Benz even when running in 100+ degree California summer heat.

We wish to congratulate all involved. Definitely not an easy task to take the M156 motor to this level and reach the top level in aftermarket Mercedes performance. Weistec should be proud of their achievements with this platform and we know owner ecampbell must be thrilled. The fact there is even more in the car in better weather when already surpassing all others is simply icing on the cake. Well done gentlemen, well done.

Great achievement, but if you count NOS, then Dad's is still quickest M156 at 10.13

With all respect to Dad , is a car with NOS considered to be a quick car in the US ? Because Dad's car without NOS isn't fast enough to keep with Earl's monster and I'm sure Keith would agree on that ( He already did on MBW ).

Because here in the Gulf, or at least in the UAE, anyone uses NOS is considered a noob. NOS can be installed on a corolla and it can be a fast car.

Just a question, sorry @ecampbell for being off topic a lil bit ( not hijacking ) Click here to enlarge

If so, Earl's car is considered to be the QUICKEST among M156 category now.

Gentlemen we would like to just give a quick thanks for all the positive comments, and a special thanks to Jim and Earl for putting it on the line. Both cars are running products that anyone can purchase. We will be releasing the 3.0L supercharger system very soon and it can be installed on all M156/M159 equipped vehicles. Earl ran true street class on Saturday and it was an event that required 3 hot lap runs and a 30 mile cruise to start. We ran no ice and the car was running for a good 20 min before hot lapping. The car in mid day laid down 140mph passes each time which was awesome to see. It definitely shocked the competition and spectators as this "thing" no one has seen before went runner up for the fastest car in class. Traction was just not there. We will be back though to get a proper ET to a 144 mph pass. Great job Earl!

The complete built engine and transmission package along with our 3.0L system runs about. 17psi of boost and puts down well over 800 rwhp all day with MS109 VP fuel. We are proud to say this is the most powerful M156 and the mph doesn't lie.

Splinter, we were wondering who this guy with a blue covered iPhone was! Great pictures man! I think the Mercedes power made us enthusiasts very proud!

If anyone has any questions about the build please free to post up. Thanks again!
