• Renntech tuned 2012 W212 E64 AMG takes on a stock F10 M5, 2006 Gallardo, whipple upgraded Ford GT, and a turbo E36 M3 at Shift-S3ctor

Here is a nice handful of races displaying the potency of a tuned M157 in a 2012 W212 E63 AMG. The car belongs to BenzBoost member xtyper and the tune is from Renntech which has shown a very respectable 607 wheel horsepower in SAE correction on a dynojet. These races take place at the Shift-S3ctor (whose organizers conspired with a competing forum to prevent the GermanBoost Network from sponsoring in a spiteful and vindictive move) air strip event.

The aforementioned forum has attempted to control the release of videos to portray their sponsors a certain way (as in, don't show races they lose and influence what people can or can't see) so we are very thankful that GermanBoost members are not scared to show what happened in their races whether they won or lost. This is ultimately about having fun with other enthusiasts and not trying to sell people things.

Here is the first race, the E63 going up against a Stock F10 M5. Suffice it to say, stock M5's are not going to be able to run with tuned M157 63 AMG's:

This race features a 2006 Gallardo (has the V10 before the direct injection upgrade) and the Gallardo is simply dusted. Difficult to even call this a race:

Here the E63 takes on a bone stock 997.2 Turbo with PDK. For a stock car the 911 Turbo does an admirable job (they trap close to 130 stock) but up top the E63 pulls away. The 911 Turbo owner really needs to get a tune on his car which would make this interesting:

Here is a Ford GT with a Whipple Supercharger upgrade against the E63. The E63 appears to have a much higher starting speed, sometimes it is difficult to get the cars going the same pace and hitting at the same time in these types of races:

In this race the E63 runs against a turbo E36 M3 said to weigh 2500 pounds which sounds weigh too light in my estimation. Regardless, the E36 takes it but this is a very good race:

Overall, the Renntech tuned M157 put on a dominating showing. Congratulations to @xtyper and we are glad to have the videos.

Awesome vids. That E63 is amazing. Wonder how it would do against a tune only M5 F10

I expect the E63 to still pull, obviously not as much. I just think Benz left more on the table for tuners. BMW is pushing the M5 harder from factory. Stock vs stock it seems the M5 has a slight edge.

Well, expect another 100rwhp/100ftlb on the M157 with Turbo upgrades & supporting hardware! Unless, it get's de-tuned on the turbo upgrade package from RENNtech =)
