    • Watch a 135i with upgraded turbos easily pull away from a C5 Corvette with a built LS6 V8

Great run here showing an E82 135i with upgraded turbos, full bolt ons, Alpina trans flash software for the 6-speed automatic transmission, meth injection, and a tune from Bren Tuning against a C5 vette with a built LS6 V8. The 135i makes easy work of the C5 from a roll that is stated to have a built motor although what it is putting out is not reavealed. A built LS6 V8 without any forced induction won't have many advantages other than that of longevity over a stock LS6 with the same modifications.

To be noted, this C5 is not a Z06 but is said to have an LS6 V8 which would have to be swapped in. Some controversy on the Vette's mod list and it certainly should be questioned.

Video is below. Thank you to BimmerBoost member @Ghost135 for the vid.

I notice you didn't list a lsd, but you didn't seem to spin in the vid... Do have one? If not how is it without one with the power of those rb turbos?

No lsd.. Its not bad just all about how my curve is, It's very drive-able and puts the power down

Ahh great that's a relief I was thinking I would be spinning all over the place(with no lsd) once I get my turbos.

Not looking forward to runs up to Bren's on Saturday --- Hopefully running straight E85 will keep it closer on the way back

BTW, that's not a z06 and what constitutes "built motor"?

Kid that owns/drives it says it's a Z06, with rods, pistons, etc..

notice the rear window and brake cooling ducts. That is what a c5z06 looks like.
        c5z06
        Attachment 27853

        base c5
        Attachment 27854

Rods, pistons, etc? You mean Heads, Cam, Intake maybe? Most people don't touch the bottom end unless they are going FI or huge shot.

Alright, Just going by what he told us.. He said it was a Z06 and had a fully built "LS6" Motor. And this was after we raced.. All I have to go by is what he told my friend and me.

The Vette owner sounds ignorant. Anyway, at 491rwhp, your car must be a beast! Any track time?

You did kill him pretty good, no matter what. If he fails to know his own car, thats his problem!! LS1 to LS6 isnt worth it, unless your LS1 blew up and going for a cheap reliable setup. You better off modding your LS1 and putting LS6 heads/intake and a custom cam in it. A lot cheaper and same results.
