    • Official - This is the 2015 C218 CLS-class facelift with multi-beam LED headlights - New CLS400 model with bi-turbo V6

The C218 CLS-Class facelift is finally here after a teaser almost one year ago. This is mostly a cosmetic facelift as most fans will immediately notice the new multi-beam headlights housing 24 individual LED's. The rear gets get a slight change but for the most part looks the same. The new headlights use a camera to detect if the vehicle is approaching a turn and if they do the multibeam LED's swivel the low beam module in order to provide further illumination.

Yes, pretty trick technology that will help light more of the road. The other news is that the new Mercedes M276 DELA 30 3.0 liter turbo V6 engine will find its way under the hood of the facelifted car. It will provide 328 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque although mercedes can increase this if they wish (or offer a power kit) in CLS400 guise. This model will start at $72,500. A CLS450 model is technically possible although it may get too close to the CLS550 for comfort.

The CLS63 AMG 4Matic remains the same with its M157 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 as does the CLS550 model with its M278 4.6 liter twin turbo V8 although the latter gets a 9-speed automatic transmission. The CLS550 4Matic keeps the seven speed transmission that is phased out with the rear wheel drive car.

      Overall, a very nice update.

Headlights are great, seems like it might even potentially be more advanced than BMW's system.

However...WHO IN THE HELL IS IN CHARGE OF THE INTERIOR DESIGN! And who signed off on that HORRIBLE NAV SCREEN! I cannot literally believe this...it looks like a photoshop by a kid...it's horrid. It's vomit-inducing. What happened to the nice integration like in the S-Class? This is absolutely mind-blowingly terrible. The rest of the car is so great...and then that just ruins it.
