• Race Video: Tuned CLK550 vs. JB4 335

Well, here we go, finally, we have a race involving BB member blkclk550. After 30+ pages of keybord warfare races took place. Now, we are told the 335 was on a 100 octane map. Blaizon, the 335 owner, said he would run a 93 octane map. The CLK does pretty well seemingly getting the jump each time and holding it. The cars seem pretty evenly matched with the JB4 having a slight top end advantage. The commentary by whomever filmed was humorous but we could do without it. Either way, look at the vids and decide for yourself.

I know that a fully bolt on 335i with JB4 is fast no one took that credit away from the 335i, but you must remember i am not running full bolt on car i am at about 350WHP a full bolt on CLK 550 has 450WHP and 720LB-TQ.
Will i ever be in that stage i believe not, it's 2 costly and i am deciding to get a CLK63 BS next year if all goes well financially or maybe M6 we will see can't predict anything.
A full bolt on CLK does not have 450 whp or 720 pound-feet of torque, please. Where the hell did you get those figures?

I've seen an E63 running low 12's @ 115 bone stock down to the tires. His car isn't doing that....

Yeah there is no way in hell his car is hanging w a W211 E63...*maybe* with a W212 since they're not as quick as the 211's..the new trans is killing the '09&up E63s
I have a '09 E63 available to run his CLK550 if he'd like to try one out

Please, do it, I beg you. I'm tired of trying to do ricer math and compare other cars as evidence.

I've run a W211 E63 on the highway and on the strip several times in the M3, I know how that plays out.

w.e. his car is not ready to run now , when it is we'll run , theres no way clk550 is making 450 whp fully bolt ond tuned lol imposible , thats what fully bolt ond tuned c63 does lol

I ran a full bolt on DCT M3 from a 45-50 roll&when we both hit it I'd spin a little,he'd shoot out&I could not reel him in..seems like he put a car or two on me and the maintained that distance the entire run. I had a 200lb passenger&it was just the driver in the M3 but I doubt it would have played out differently if I was sans passenger. That car was QUICK&sounded awesome!

        But the 450 whp wasn't?

The claims are so lofty it's hard to judge what you actually believe.

Kind of funny, when stock on the street ran an E63 with a passenger and out of first gear up through 3rd I put a couple cars on him and it stayed that way until he got out of it. It's a good race between the two.

Anyway, hope you can substantiate those claims of dispatching E63's with ease... how a lower displacement car with a lower redline and less power is doing that I have no clue.

in the cool fall/winter air my car was a solid 12.0-12.1 car&would trap 115-117 consistentley,Ive made a lil over 200 passes down the 1/4 in it so I was very familiar with it. I was actually surprised w the outcome of the M3,I thought we would be even or Id pull slightly ahead. Maybe if we ran from the dig it woulda been different but we didn't. What's a full bolt on DCT M3 E.T. & trap?

A full bolt on DCT M3 is realistically a 12 flat and 115-116 car. It has hit 11's up to 118 in good weather but not really an everyday representation.

The cars may be stronger now with the tunes having evolved. I ran 115 way early on and the car was 11 second capable then.

It is different if the E63 runs from a dig. On the strip the E63 was a tougher match than from a roll, torque off the line. Roll on's favor the DCT and top end of the M3.

Agreed, but we did 30 punches.

um how the hell do you figure 720 tq? even if this is a miss type the #3key is very far from the number 7 key! You will still be driving your moms clk 550 for another 10 years at least. Chill out your pockets are not deep enough for a Black series
