Calm down there stud muffin. I am about as far from a hater as possible. it was a joke - hence the picture of Obama in it. There is nothing that shouts "joke" more than Obama. Go unbunch your panties.

" I can't remember screen name, but if you search around there is a guy who swapped in an N54, welll 335 interior as well though in an older BMW chassis, can't remember which to be honest. Like I said though, MOTEC is an option. Definitely not going to find an inexpensive option on this motor, so be ready to spend some coin. I really am not sure how a standalone would fair controlling VANOS, DI, anti-knock sensors, etc. I think you'd lose a lot of what enables the N54 to do what it does.

Seeing someone do a PI swap on an N54 into another chassis though would be something. Especially a very lightweight chassis since the N54 is after all, on the light side. I think for what you're looking for that would make for a great project. I can tell you right now NO ONE has done any standalone on the N54. There is one person I can think of that was using a MOTEC system to control another set of injectors for supplemental fueling, this was someone Terry@BMS mentioned at a 1/2 mile event last year. Haven't heard anything since though.

Good luck with the project! "

Sadly, it appears that I've rep'd you recently, so I can't do it again, but thanks! I was actually looking at that already so this is good confirmation.

Just to to be curious, have you used Zcs before? If so, how would you say it compares?

" Hi Folks,

I've traditionally used Zaino products to detail my car, but I'm about out of my Zcs and since Zaino hasn't introduced anything new in years, I thought I'd see what others are using. A couple criteria:

1. Has to be easy to use. I love that Zcs is just a wipe-on product. Couldn't be easier. I greatly dislike products that have to "haze" and then be buffed off. I do my annual paint correction and that is enough effort. I prefer my after wash to be easy.

2. I hand wash my car weekly and typically like to apply some sort of polish/detail spray afterwards (hence the easy part above). My point is it doesn't have to last forever - I'll take shine over durability.

3. Can't cost an arm and a leg. Something in the Zaino realm. "

@singletrack I absolutely love the interior of my E92, I really don't understand why it was apparently reviewed not so well relative to its competitors, I personally love it. I like it a lot better than the F body 3 series myself. 5 series is better, but really not a fan of current 3 series at all.
I agree with you. Although I will admit that when I first saw and sat in the S5 vs. M3, I did prefer the styling in and out of the S5. After further use (maturation? ; )), I find the Audi interior too busy. I like really like simple, purposeful interiors. I think the perfect example of BMW losing it's way is the new start-button on the 3 series. Such a small, simple detail; so poorly executed. It has that awful surround to disable the auto stop-start....it's terrible. The new steering wheels - including the M4/M3 terrible. If you want to put buttons on a steering wheel - you need to put them out of the way - there is way too much going on in terms of style and function.

...and no insult intended to the F series. I am, of course, splitting hairs - but that is what great design is about right? : ) "

" [QUOTE=alex@ABRhouston;560519]No, making it more rich will make the additive value in MS come down from high positives, and multiplicatives will lower the percentage..... positive on either one is the DME adding fuel, negative on either one is the DME removing fuel.

Zero on either value is what you are shooting for (perfect) because that means your main map is on target. the additives and multiplicatives are there technically to adjust for fuel octane differences, elevation, air leaks, restrictions and wear.

sounds like the beginning of WOT area on the map needs more fuel specifically then.

edit: looking at those logs, 20-30% positive needs to be corrected, IMO. The car is adding 20-30% more fuel over the entire fuel map to compensate. On any normal car, this would totally set codes for those being out of range, and would have done so around 12-15%.... "
