I understand the N54 may never be a very high reving engine but there should be room to increase it past 7200rpm. Even increasing it to 8 or 8.5k, from looking at the dyno, would be a substantial increase in power.

To go on, why install VAC springs that can hit 10k rpm(claimed by vac) when there is zero valve float with the stock springs at this power level and rpm range?
8.5k would be a nice +18% on 7200rpm. However, the head does not flow enough for the stroke and it will choke before 8k. The power can increase until the flow exceeds sonic speeds when the power drops abruptly. "

" My only hope is that there is the option for the end-user to customize tables to specific needs (ala COBB or BB) such as E85 tuning and not being stuck with some locked-out tuner file that's a one-size fits all. Why limit such a platform with more potential on the table? "

" Welding metal hubrings into an aluminum rim?
Highly unlikely.
Isn't it just that they were left in when the rims were powdercoated?
And you worked them loose because of the thickness of the powdercoat on the inside of the ring?
What you see as "welded" is probably a thick layer of powdercoat.

Just scrape or sand the powdercoat of the hubrings, and I think you'll be fine.
As long as they're snug in the rim and the diameter is correct on the inside it will work.
Or order new hubrings (without the powdercoat) and tap these out of the rims. "

Also, saying that prices vary is a huge understatement...

You I want to take your offer.
Send me a link I can trust that will deliver in Europe, please. "

I test fit the front and they looked like they will fit well.

You rarely find brand new open box items for 85% retail... It's a stretch on a product purchased over a year ago with wg rattle.
I'm sorry I didn't price them how you would have liked. I expected people to offer lower, hence the obo part. All that's needed is an adjustment. Something you should do any time the twins are out of the car. I didn't realize that was gonna be such an issue, I just didn't feel like doing it. "
