" haha...funny...just figured if people are ordering this kit...there is a reason and they should know what levels of ethanol they are running
It's definitely load related. On my car at idle, I sit at 73...as I drive normally I'l watch it fluctuate and go up to about 78 during accelerations (not WOT) and back down during cruising and idle but it is certainly more responsive than what you are seeing. The DME is always responding and at a certain load point the PWM goes to 100%....we also know this because we've put a meter on the pump (and FCV) and monitored them while doing all kinds driving...including WOT.
More...is not always better....sometimes it's just...well...more
and can cause problems, especially if the system can't handle it. Not saying that is the case here but it'll be interesting to see the results. I don't think this comes up more because most people don't pay attention to the data beyond what they see at WOT but often wonder why their car idles poorly, has hiccups...yada, yada. I too have had many of those issues and had to learn/work my way through them. My guess is, if you hadn't have had the blown fuse issue...you too may have never noticed until it started behaving poorly to which most people usually respond..."plugs, coils, injectors, reset adaption"....
and now i digress....
Either way...I'm sure we'll get to the bottom it one way or another. I'd honestly prefer you do keep your current pump...you've certainly paid for it and maybe we'll learn something from it.
