" I appreciate all the feedback and patience everyone. Looks like we should have some results soon. As long as the DV proves to be the only issue outside of getting the N55 tune dialed in, we are good to go. I expect this turbo to be able to handle 20 psi at red line without a problem, compared to the N54 turbine housing AR, the N55 is much larger, they do not stamp the AR on it like a lot of turbo manufactures do, but you can get an idea visually and it is larger. We had the N54 analyzed and it came back as a .28 AR(TINY). We will see once it starts getting turned up, but I have very high expectations. "
F10 M5 DCT has the same clutch pack as the 335i or m3 DCT (source: realoem) and has the same oil pump (source: realoem). In my opinion not the clutches and the oil pump are the weakest part of the story if M5 DCT can handle 560HP and 680NM.
It doesn't have the same clutches from what I understand. Realoem may be wrong on that one? "
We already know that supercharged DCT cars have longevity problems when their owners actually drive them like there'ssupposed to.
You can have a longevity problem with a stock clutch in an N54 if you launch it everywhere you go. What's your point?
The idea is to see max torque handling capability and to increase that capability.

That is the dumbest thing I've read in this thread. Um, seeing clutches that can handle the torque necessary for 1000 whp is more impressive than seeing them handle a stock internal setup, yawn. If they can take 1000 whp they most certainly can take mild boost on a stock motor producing almost half that. "
I like em cause they are cheap, easy to replace, beefier with no downsides. My car still has low mileage so the originals were still in good shape and I did the M3's before switching to E85 blend so I don't know if it helped with shifting.
Oh ok gotcha. My trans mounts have almost 70k on them so we'll see. Definitely going with E46 M3 mounts now tho. Thanks for the info. "
I mean it definitely appears to be the same. I don't know what to say as I really don't know anything about these guys. Maybe they resell somebody else's stuff and rebrand it? A lot of Euorpean guys do that. "
I am anxiously awaiting dyno results and had to go look at the log again. The turbo is holding 18psi to 6500, very nice! That is actually target boost, so it may hold even more. I have a feeling one of these may be on my car in the near future!
Probably will hold more no problem, it will just be a matter of what's reliable/durable up top. Small housing so I'm sure backpressure is creeping up pretty good at even 18psi "
