Yeah, if someone's interested though, happy to have a look.
most of it would probably be ok
I mean, i got the trans from the UK via most of the world for a couple hundred bucks. stick the block...

half hoping at least certain items don't sell (while others i don't mind) lol

So life's gotten in the way for now, everything's up for sale 'til i get back on my feet
The only parts not available are the Chargepipe and Rods.. I believe i still have the factory DV's but...

Last i asked motec they said they were still working on it
I mean, if the DME can control it SURELY someone can work out a way to...

or really just an N55 even with new crank on top of everything else.. pocket the rest.
02-24-2015, 08:14 AM
yeah, and injector control is the only thing stopping a standalone on the N54 (as this highlights)
that's what i mean by 'n54' *complete* N54. not tens of thousands of machining and custom work on...

ahh yeah, completely forgot about this car! Pity it hasn't been done more often :P
ah well, still hoping someone'll do it for the N54 some day, would be cool to see
02-23-2015, 12:43 AM
wouldn't this mean you could much more affordably run it on an N55 though?
the valvetronic shouldn't be too hard to control i wouldn't think.
02-23-2015, 12:24 AM
i got so excited for about 30 seconds that motec finally got the piezo injectors controlled like they said they'd have mid last year
seeming more and more unrealistic :(

Probably fair to say the single has a few more PSI to go before it's out of efficiency though.
Also fair to say that if your power goals don't involve maxing out said single, the 2+ seem like a...

I support this... Definitely with Sticky
Don't see anything wrong with a 4 tonne+ rolls-royce level of perfection/comfort SUV.. thing. It'll still cost what, $500k at least?
GTI definitely manual, with that exhaust + DSG it'd be making ear shattering cracky fart noises like a few local to here haha
it's pretty crazy the numbers the Mk7 R's are putting down with such...

that's all i want too :D
I have a good feeling about this year just like last.

Just to me stopping development, letting other similar options potentially develop more features... would logically reduce sales long term
guess that might be incorrect.
ED: just to...

are there any downsides potentially to any of this?
02-17-2015, 11:41 PM
so the holes being plugged are off-boost vents?
and the PCV replacement being fully open then has to somewhat do more work, so is fine being larger/more open?
ok that makes a bit more sense...
02-17-2015, 11:37 PM
what do you mean with my tone?
You don't want any improvements to the BB software? :/
I'm not making it versus, i'm saying cobb has abandoned the platform, development has stopped, there are...
02-17-2015, 11:24 PM
From what i gathered, people realized that Cobb had stopped development but wanted things they hadn't (yet, and won't be) implemented...
I know the goal isn't 'to be better than cobb', but it's...
02-17-2015, 11:20 PM
how is it stopping anything from entering the intake, it's vented to the air filter, which IS the intake..
isn't the PCV delete just deleting the 'valve' part of the PCV and making it an...
02-17-2015, 11:18 PM
how is it melodramatic?
BB flash is pretty clearly undergoing more development, and it's not much of a stretch at this point to expect it to overtake cobb in capabilities...
Cobb has, for...

to me it's just a cop-out... They're still making just as much money as before, now they have an excuse to not spend any more money developing
but guess what, given enough time if the other...
really interested in seeing FBO results with these, wonder if intake piping will become a part of the standard FBO setup in the near future?
dynojet controls for at least some variables
fixed load means you CAN compare somewhat as it'll be consistent.
it was just confusing calling it a RHD charge pipe, when it's for RHD and LHD cars (like you say, 135/535 etc... albeit specifically RHD 335i i guess is what you're going for)
Didn't mean to start...
