Cool, peeps doing work on the bin. Not sure if I would be any use, since I'm not a puter person.
I see some of the factor tables were found, but without the y-axis... why? From what I have seen...

Very nice results. Curious what you'd gain with a good cyl5, which seems to keep you globally conservative also.
Have you checked part throttle, cruise logs to see if similar activity? This may...

Ok back to PID… this is all fine and dandy… DZ is making it look like he actually tunes PID intricately understanding the cause and effect of each variable. Even Cobb didn’t do much with PID… they...

Tables are easy to find, but needs someone that understands how to link/define them. What's defined is <10%. A good start would be linking DME pins to the hex probably. This is getting way over my...

not really in my situation... it depends though. the rattle is more how the n54 hunts idle... torque output is not very steady.

You can raise it about 200rpms max through INPA

amen, very much in need.
Don't even have cooling tables, or idle, or what I really wanted throttle/clutch switch. Cobb will not find anymore, its up to community. There was a very good excel table...

If the only limitation is scaling all the tables, not that bad. BUT I think once you get past a certain point you'll have other issues. The defined tables are just a handful and all tuning on this...

I doubt this is the reason... this platform started as on/off switch tuning and drivability still suffers with many of the tunes out there. Plus considering the avenues to get past MAP, rescale would...

Damn, I feel the need to counter your comments… its simplistic thinking in how it has been and should stay.
If they stuck to the DME safeties they would be handicapped compared to racecode and...

that was weird...
I see a few scenarios here since I take it they do NOT have racecode... which its crappy this is not open yet... anyway:
1. Normal accepted Cobb limits... typical ATR tuning...

DZ, you are not using PID if your targets are not attainable. Yes, you have it in place for an overboost, but when you are targeting 35psi on a stock turbo past 6k it will not come into play. Your...

I would love to know how wedge/BQ are manipulating the tunes to handle these psi (and without “racecode”??). I have to commend them for figuring this out… able to set a WGDC and DME’s happy past...

Knowing boost is definitely important, but really many other platforms will max out the ECU visibility. If you can stabilize WGDC, you can still tune relatively well… should at least externally log...

I didn't read much of the thread, but assuming there's dimensional issues with spec clutches. I've been researching clutches for c5 vette and seems there are similar issues. I take it spec production...

Nice thread, you people are smart.
Pre-turbo pressure has always been discussed, but surprised we still don't have data (at least to my knowledge).
IIRC RB 20psi HP is 530ish with stock intakes...
So there's a difference of 30-40% WGDC between inlet on or off?
What's the boost diff around 6k?
And the comparisons with same turbos with and w/o stock inlets... maybe someone could post the...
I'm interested how DME determines knock. I currently have some experience with ls1 and "think" knock retard (at least on ls1) is primarily based on amplitude... which is not the best approach i'd...

I don’t think you can relate voltages between NB and WBs. NB is passive with voltage reading either rich/lean depending on O2 content. WB tries to keep a fairly stable voltage using current to pump...
You can make a DV tester with few parts from home depot... very useful for peace of mind.
clear hose with clamps necked down to quick connect and use a large syringe to equal pressures.
25" at WG and 6" close is pretty conclusive for working vac system and WGs. How about turbo to IC... check it thoughly. When logging any "new" swing in fuel trims after the install?

Comparing WP and PTF, the approaches are similar…
WP is setting a WGDC which exceeds the MAP in the mid-range. PTF does similar DC tuning which is apparent in the top end. Which is worse… MAF on...

Ahh, thank you for the warm thread welcoming… glad to be here.
11-17-2014, 04:41 PM
What? This is exactly what PTF does (or did for the longest time)… set a high target and bump off the DC max. Is it really that much different.
Do other platforms have the “hey I can tune the...
