There's not a lot of S5 3.0t guys that modify for performance, mainly for looks.
The dual-pulley will also be wonderful for Q5/SQ5/A6/A8 3.0t guys as it'll allow them to spin the S/C at their...

Heat is an issue, something that hopefully the 3.0t crowd will address, maybe by embracing water/methanol injection or upgrade the air/water intercoolers on the S/C unit itself. 2016 looks like it...

I went down the list and only listed each member once with their best times to date, so this list isn't 100% reflective as each of the members appear at least twice on the list before me (meaning ran...

Additionally, the current stock blower record running 11.40 is a heavy guy (250lbs) and running stock cats/headers/downpipe/exhaust, pretty impressive and not a possible feat on an N54/N55 without...

Interesting, I had not realized that. I'll have to look into some articles and share it with other 3.0t guys.

A typical stage II runs about 16-16.5 psi of boost (though some have seen 17-18psi). Depending on the tune, a dual pulley (lets say stage II "+" for the sake of comparison), will allow an additional...

^^Yes this is true, that is the fastest S4 to date with an upgraded $9000 blower (not including supporting mods), but mine is the fastest B8.5 S5 to date. Dual pulleys w/ tune are actually the new...

On the S4 that ran 11.40, IIRC for power mods he has an intake, CTS S/C pulley, JHM overdrive crank pulley (this is the main difference), lightweight wheels and tires, and E85 using an EPL beta file....

11.40@120mph (mph rounded up), though the highest trap is 123mph from stock blower. Those guys are running an overdrive crank pulley with an underdrive S/C pulley which gives it an extra 2-3psi.

Wow thanks for the article Sticky! Very cool man!
Here are more pictures I have of the car attached (and also the car...

My bad, forgot to list it. Yes GIAC stage II requires an AWE-tuning pulley as well.

B8.5 S5 world record to date...firstname.lastname@example.org
Us Audi B8/B8.5 guys aren't 1/4 mile track people (S4 guys are though), so there aren't many B8.5 S5 times...

Yes, my car. I'll have to update my sig soon.

^^ looking through the forums and the database of S4 times (which included S5 times on Audizine), the previous record was email@example.com with an B8.5 S5. Unless someone else isn't posting times for...

updated results, nothing changed (in fact I had more weight on this run), just better DA's:
I think this is the newest B8.5 S5 world record?

definitely a car to bring me back to BMW, especially at that price.

With nothing more than a tune, race gas, and 100lbs of weight savings, thats an incredible time considering its already 3800+ lbs without the driver (whos' like 220lbs IIRC).

Hi all, this forum doesn't get a lot of discussion, so I'll contribute. I will first say that I am not a track-rat/PRO driver, and my results can be duplicated by any standard non-pro driver. This is...
There are downpipes, but IIRC they don't make a lot of power at the moment as their isn't a proper tune for them. Strange to see such a quiet car running mid 10's, you would expect some sort of...

I'm not a fan of Motortrend test video's, too many opinions involved and not as informative as say....John Davis from Motorweek.

this is the first article on BB that I dont understand? The M3 is rated at 425hp, he stated it was rated at 425hp. The Caddy was the quicker car because it was around the track, maybe I'm missing...

IMHO, the list should be #1 - # 25 in piston speed order. Never realized how "lazy" Ferrari's are in terms of piston speeds. Audi/Lambo's with their longer stroke engines have crazy piston speeds,...

it's difficult to compare final 1/4 mile trap speeds of car A and car B without being able to look at the overall picture. Car A with a trap speed of 125mph doesn't necessarily make it faster than...

very cool article. The M3 seems to be par with previous tests (although this is the slowest 7-DCT test I've seen from C&D as previous ones trapped 119-120mph). The C63 S is curiously slow? Perhaps a...

The interior looks like a lovely place to be in. I'm ok with the design, but I wish they wouldn't have gone for evolutionary and instead made it more revolutionary, but I understand that they must...
