I would probably shy away from non-OEM sensors unless there is some good reason to go aftermarket. I didn't even know any existed.

You can always give it a shot yourself with your car as a double check. I've not really used headphones for tuning in over a decade so maybe my ears are just not as sensitive as they used to be. :)

I've tried. Even when it's I know its knocking (based on logs & experience) it's hard to hear much. The ECU is very good at pulling timing.

PS. If I lower boost enough I can get 2 & 5 to stay...

I've been meaning to swap in new knock sensors on the same tank of gas in a controlled environment to see if it makes any difference. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I still get drops on 2 and 5 using 100% E85 and a 6 degree up to 9 degree timing curve, at the 600whp power level. Shrug.

Definitely 2nd gear launches. With RBs best was 11.1@129 IIRC. The problem with larger turbos is they spool slower so it's harder to get a good 60'. Went from 1.6x stock turbos to 1.8x with RBs....

I ran 11.3@125 on stock turbos in our 135i. :) But remember the aggressiveness of the tuning plays a huge role. If it's just a mild tune then this seems reasonable.

    Runway Testing: 2015 JB4 M3

    Hey guys,

I was able to attend a small half mile event at Minter Airfield today and put the new M3 through it's paces.

I was expecting there to be around 30 various cars there but for ...

We actually have to shift these manually at 5900rpm for the best times. It's much slower at the 7200rpm redline. :)

His Stage1 seems to be OK so far for 600whp on 100% E85 using PI. But I'll be stepping up to Stage3 soon just to have the bases covered there. Better to have too much pump than too little. :)

Sigh trucker flaked. Won't have car until Wed or Thurs. Not a lot of time before SS Sat. Hopefully we have time to tune it before then and don't hit any issues.

Looks nice. Hopefully we can work out the tuning end. Control is still in its infancy but larger turbos will definitely move the buck forward. :)

With luck I should have this car back this weekend to get started on tuning. The PI rails won't be ready for it yet so we'll just tune it for E40 + a ton of meth to be able to enjoy it at SS.

It should be a good race with our 600whp 135i vs. Ando @ BMS' 700whp 335i. He's taken some weight off also so will be maybe 250# heavier and also the larger turbo has a little more lag. Hopefully he...

Initially we're just looking to make 750rw on this setup. Going with a precision 6266 G2. Once we're bored of that then we'll look in to something larger.

Not looking to get involved in anyone's pissing match and I'm not on IG. I know Serg had a valve job or something done on his car recently so maybe posted photos of that. Shrug.
