1M has the same manual transmission as all other N54s. The only difference is in the number of flywheel bolts. 1M and all 2009+ N54s use a 6 bolt flywheel. Pre 2009 are 8 bolt.
Yes a couple. I don't recall seeing issues like this with knock. Terry what pistons are in there? What was done with the cylinder head?
I guess you gotta do what you gotta do..
With an external form of boost control that can integrate/scale a higher reading sensor, and there are many choices there some better than others, sky is the limit when it comes to boost limit and...
You can run and control up to 2.5bar absolute pressure.

andy_divers great job on the turbo kit.

Again a complete lack of understanding and experience on the topic. DME will certainly NOT just nicely close throttle when the TMAP max voltage is reached. What it WILL do, well, it will give you a...

Axles brake on all sorts of cars even those with factory launch control. First thing everyone launching their car needs to do is to invest in a good pair of DSS axles and never have this issue again....

If glory day numbers were all there was this wouldn't at all be a big deal. However now this 23psi "tune" is also being sold to "customers" with a disclaimer to watch their boost gauge lol i feel...

That's a great setup!

Buraq, a couple of points as you seem to all of a sudden have selective memory.
1) you never asked for advice
2) you and ken started with bs marketing on e90 and mentioned us in your first...

Ok so 23.05psi and logged is 19.7psi :) thanks for confirming exceeding the tmap sensor.
Next time before arguing and other bs do your own testing and proper logging and at least ask for advice...

In love with this car.

When posting dynos such as this where the dme is running blind to actual boost, like we did with VTT a few times for hardware only testing/experimental reasons, we at least made it clear as day that...

Have you at least confirmed now that you're flying completely blind to the amount of boost you are pushing on this and other cars showing similar flatline boost logs and that the car is running way...

Cool. Low 600s mustang numbers is what we saw as well at 20psi pump gas.
11-10-2014, 07:07 PM
Of course you can control boost externally :)
If those were as critical what should be said about say a JB+ :) JB4 is also doing nothing directly for timing and fuel...

Wedge there is no actual psi. There is absolute pressure and a calculation back to relative to ambient pressure. As mentioned before DME will close throttle if you overshoot requested boost to...
11-10-2014, 08:21 AM
What are you talking about? Do you not realize Boost (psi) is just a calculated value based of Boost Mean Abs? What is being logged is absolute pressure and that is what you scale the TMAP voltage...

I haven't yet installed this clutch on my car. However, there are two things happening, one is the official spec stance on the TOB which says all US cars are to use the LOW setting and the HIGH...
11-09-2014, 08:16 PM
Its not the TOB rattling or your clutch kit. The single mass flywheel simply exposes gearbox noise. N54 6MT gearbox is not a very quiet gearbox unfortunately. If you've got firmer than OEM tranny...

Just forget about what we have why does it matter. Focus on your own stuff without having to make bs hyped up comments with Ken out there and mentioning comparisons and advantages over other...
11-09-2014, 02:47 PM
You say that and I say the dme is certainly not seeing actual and you can't produce an actual flatlined boost curve with not even a 0.1psi wiggle on any car lol its not physically possible or...
