I seen, just isn't answering some of my curiosities. It's great that they are strengthening the engine though. Wish they would have mentioned the rods along with the pistons/crankshaft.

aside from the 420 sticker on the side, this car looks amazing.
Also, $#@!ing 420hp from a 2.0l 4cylinder, from the factory? That's just insane. Especially when you consider the fact that the...

i know steelcurtain had a "how to" on mk5/mk6 on carbon cleaning the TSI engine. i assume it's nearly identical to the n54, sans 2 cylinders.
Lately 90% of my driving has been 1-5 miles, glad I...

NATO. That's why we can't let them duke it out. You see Ukraine is no match for Russia, Russia has over 6x the amount of ACTIVE military personnel and twice as many reservists and greatly outgun...

the spoiler thing is pretty interesting.
at 2711 with AWD, plus the difference of DSG weight vs MT, will make for a fun car.
love the interior (especially the cluster), the circular vents are...

wow, nice prices.
congrats on selling 100 sets of turbos for the n54/55 already!

not bad, not bad.
i really like the front, looks like it's pissed off.

I never knew about the APR revo beef
however the statis, unitronic, Eurojet, and SPM one is pretty good.
I wish I knew the full story on that though. All I know is there is one downpipe with...

If other golf-r didn't have a HPFP then this is just marketing propaganda and bull$#@!.
You're spot on, need a full mods list.
yeah, they salt big time. another reason I love the 16" winter set is I got a nice sidewall (they're also run flats), is that the NJ roads are basically just one giant pothole. Pretty impossible to...
I put 16" snow tires on in the winter, so much better than the run of the mill 18" all seasons my GTI came with. Makes a big difference in a FWD torquey car.
Plus it means I get to have 18"...

completely missed the graph. Damn does that torque come on fast too.
$#@!, i really need to fatten up my wallet and move onto Audi.
02-26-2014, 10:43 AM
this is definitely great news.l
goes back to when you could swap RS4 turbos onto the S4 for easier/cheap horsepower boosts.
I can't wait to see some big turbo upgrades on these latest gen...

removing port injection for NA would be so dumb. All the big tuners are based here, and we arguably have the largest VW tuning community.
if this is confirmed I may just hang onto my current GTI...

my bad, i thought you only had the YSI on a built engine. sorry.

Don't wash with Dawn. That will strip the car's/wheel's wax/sealant.
I tend to use sonax as a wheel cleaner, thing will get even the most caked on brake dust off. However, for gentle cleans take...
The stock injectors flow 282cc at 3bar. A Stage 1+ tune for APR actually requires larger injectors. You can find 415+cc injectors for under $350 for a set of 4.
The 1.8T is a popular tuner...

You're link is a car for sale with bolt-ons/tune. No supercharger....13k miles for $72k. geez. Like how they advertise 475 and it hits a peak of 469BHP, just a tick over 375whp

if i'm not mistaken, sticky had his motor built for this kit, so there was probably no testing done on the stock engine. at least not on sticky's car.
without a doubt. i go to mk6 to check like 4-5 threads and the occasional dyno post. I prefer here as I can learn about a lot of different platforms. Gives me better options if I move to a new car...
just go k04 man, you can either get a packaged kit from APR where it's literally turn key. bolt up, tune and drive.
You could source the k04 and injectors separately and look for a tune, but in...
yeah, generally I wouldn't. however my knowledge of 1.8 turbo builds is limited and it was just easier to point him in the right direction.
If it helps, I go to the vortex like ten times a year....
(disclaimer, my expertise is in the EA888 2.0 TSI engine)
go with a k04. I'd recommend APR's for $2299 (though the spring sale should be in a couple of months and it should be cheaper then)

I have to say, it's amazing how ahead you are on some of this stuff, APR just only posted the video of this run 2/21.
I'm a stout guy, just had a Lagunitas' cappuccino stout the other day, delicious.
