Singh Autosport claims they are first to tune as well as 100 hp gains on the 2011 CL63 AMG with the M157 twin turbo V8
We aren't sure what to say as this has become a repeat pattern now with Singh. They are claiming they are the first tuner to tune the CL63 AMG in North America. Yet, the dyno provided is not a North American dyno. Somebody make sense of that. Also, Singh claims to have tuned a CL550 yet they are waiting for the car to adapt before putting it on the dyno. Huh? So no custom dyno tune? This all just does not make much sense and we would like to see some real proof.

We've seen things like this before. What happens is... The tune manufacture in Europe develops the tune. Then the reseller of their software claims it as their own. Some tuners go as far to say this is for "their" customer in Europe. The truth is, these charts come from a number of places. Either from the tune manufacture themselves or from another shop that also is a dealer of the mfg's tunes. Its common place when a new car enters the tuning market to see Cartec Dyno charts being claimed as someone else's work. Sticky, Shoot me a email or message and I can show you side by side pictures where this also took place, when a new Mercedes tuning platform hit the market.

So, what is the point of claiming first in North America when North America has very little if anything to do with the development? Secondly, how does one prove that? The original European dyno is not proof of anything in North America.

oh and your typically right. There are a few ways of going about it, purchase a predone tune and resell, or purchase the maps so you can create your own if you are a shop that can do so. Maps typically come out before the tune itself.

I'm getting a bit sick of these claims he is making with no support.
By the way, if you guys have tunes for these motors shoot me an e-mail with the deatails (dyno before/after, price) so I can put up an article on them!

I don't know anything about Singh, but sounds like another ASR... Sorry, had to say something... Sure they aren't connected?
