    Opinions on next car?

Ok so after selling my beloved E63 last year Im in the first stage of decided what to get next...I'm downgrading since being layed off from my plumbers union for the last 2yrs&not getting my normal income...I have a price range of $45-50k&I'm looking for a performance oriented car that can be *relatively* easily modifeid w/out breaking the bank.

I've been thinking about the new '12 Mustang GT but stock it wont keep me happy for more than a few days. Considered having the dealer add an FRPP 2.3l blower since it will still retain somewhat of a warranty that way but it's realistically going to add $8-9000 to the price of the car. The GT500 w the SVT package is also nice but, like the Mustang GT,is borderline "boy racer" for a bald 40yr old like myself lol. Thought about a C6 Vette also but the stigma attached to that car is even worse for an old dude like me. I basically want a car that will run low 11s and still be a daily driver w/out too much fussing;is it possible?

    Any suggestions?

I like the 2nd gen CTS-V,ItalianStallion had one that was modded&it was a monster...I also like the 135i(my wife loves the vert). What does a FBO 135 put down to the wheels/run in the 1/4?

N55 135i is around 380 whp, but it has DCT.
N54 135i is above 400whp, and they aren't available with DCT.
these are high to low 11 second cars.

If you wanted a mustang I would wait 2 years, simply because they will be releasing them with independent rear suspension. Otherwise, go V. I have to say I really really love the car. Getting behind the wheel is always enjoyable.

However the gt500 is still amazing and I would definitely consider it since a stock 11 gt500 can pull 11s with slicks as the only mods.

I would give the following for suggestions... My focus is on warranty, ease of use and uniqueness where possible.

    1. 2011 Roush 5XR 525hp with a 3yr/36k warranty for the powertrain with the Ford factory warranty covering everything else. Its a unique car. You wont need to untune it for service calls etc...

    2. Being a bald 40yr old the Vette gives me stigma fits as well. But money allowing I'd rock a 2011 (or used)Grand Sport with CCW's and Pfadt coilovers. Stock that car is plenty damn fast and well with some rims and a drop you're not an old man in it LOL

    3. 2011 Audi S4... Year round drivability and you can call APR or Stasis for upgrades. Anchor Audi in NY will warranty the work if installed at their dealership. http://www.anchoraudi.com/ Its a sleeper ride capable of nice work on the highway and strip.

This is a A4 with just the ECU upgrade... No pulley or exhaust here... Second vid is a with a full exhaust & tune vs a stock S4. This is a low 12 sec car for sure!

    We stay swingin...

    Mustang with blower immediate grin..

CTSV a little pricey but interior is sex and car can run 10s with pulley swaps and tires.

    I would agree ^

But honestly CTSV or C6 in my book.

The new s4 is cool, but its not gonna be anywhere near those two listed above...
If you want an Audi, wait for the TTRS. Actually is it out?

CTS-V is a truely awesome car. My brother just got 1 and I love it. Super fast with mods. Could go used c63 and with headers/tune can run 11s with proper tires.

although C6 vette will beat both performance wise but not so much on the interior. The caddy's interior is by far the best of them all.
