Another Maybach tuned by OE Tuning, huge torque gains - +108.6 pound-feet and +53.8 wheel horsepower

This is yet another Maybach tuned by OE Tuning. Where are all these Maybach owners wanting more power for their 6000 pound super-expensive sedans coming from? Regardless, just take a look at the graph to see the HUGE low end torque gains. At around 3600 RPM the gain is just about 200 pound-feet of torque. You will definitely feel that and you will definitely want that in this heavy German tank. The power drops off up top and peak horsepower gains are only 53.8 wheel, but all one needs to do is take a look at the curve and see the impressive change on 91 octane pump.

I saw this thing about a week ago on the OE channel. Look at Jeremy tuning 400K cars! Sick numbers on that car! Nice work Jeremy.

Yes, the turbos are the problem on that motor.

    It's absurd.

    Begging for bigger turbos though.

This is why I don't have much problem believing Speedriven's claims of almost 1200 crank hp with their upgraded turbo package. If they are big enough, this engine has almost unlimited potential. The problem is those stock crappy manifold-integrated turbos, the tame cams, and the lack of head flow. I'd love to see more companies do upgraded turbos on these, I know there's lots of guys, especially over at MBWorld, who would snap that up in a second.

I believe the motor is capable of huge numbers. In speeddrivens case, I just want to see numbers.

No prob, hopefully it works. Getting these dyno sheets is proving harder than finding unicorns, although my guy says they exist.

I've heard they handle pretty well all things considered, they're more like 5k for the 221, probably around 47-4800 for the 220. No body roll, because of the ABC. There is understeer, but with the right tires also lots of grip, probably due to the weight and the suspension.

EDIT: Just realized this was the Maybach thread, posting in too many M275 threads Click here to enlarge 6k pounds indeed. Still, heard they handle well given the fact they weigh three tons. Just saying that is funny.

Hence my points about the sheets and HP claims. I haven't seen the HP backed up...

They should have backed it up a long time ago really. Makes me skeptical but really the V12's are an unnecessary pain in the butt with the M157 in existence but you can get a M275 based benz for rather cheap.

Yeah I don't know why, it's been that way over on MBW too. No questions really addressed as to power or dyno sheets. I think I just would love to have an S class for a while, having driven a small n/a straight 6 car with a manual transmission for years now. And I'd love to be the guinea pig for head work/cams/turbos/DPs/maybe better manifolds. I feel like 1500 hp is possible on these engines, no problem. Just needs the money thrown at it.

Most definitely. Learned that the hard way, although it really is true. Cars are the best/worst example.
