Magic Hat is legit, I actually got to tour the brewery when I visiting a friend who lives in Burlington. Heart of Darkness is their winter seasonal stout so you prob won't be able to find it until the fall, Circus Boy is another quality brew, but since it is getting towards summer I'll prob start drinking a lot of Dogfish Head (especially the 60 + 90 Min IPAs), Yuengling (goes perfect with some BBQ), Sam Adams Summer, various Harpoon, Sierra Nevada, Saranac & of course some poolside Coronas + Bud Lights Click here to enlarge

HAHA ! Eh, well it was a good deal for me being that I didn't think it would taste good. I've always seen the seasonal brews but, never tried them. I'll get into those and look for that MH #9. $3.99 for a 22oz of great beer sounds like a good deal lol.

Man, lucky you! How many tasters do they give? It's been years since I had Circus Boy but do remember that most of their IPA's are pretty wicked. In fact, I'll be taking a trip next month and will try to find a MH mix pack. Click here to enlarge In case you haven't been, the Sam Adams tour ends with a pitcher or two and even a free tasting glass!

Trying a new beer is always another feather in your cap. My dad use to keep a diary of his wine tasting notes but I never had the discipline...is there an app for that? You ABSOLUTELY have to try Sam's Summer Ale when it's out, look for the freshness date stamped on the bottle's side and get the newest ones!

No, they weren't in any order the white piece of paper you see there has the names on them. She just filled them in order of what taps were closest and then wrote them so I could choose Click here to enlarge

I wish I remembered the beers.

One was a Latitude 33 anniversary beer which was smoked to high heaven. Incredible paired with bacon Click here to enlarge

I forgot the other three Click here to enlarge One was an IPA, one was a brown ale, and then a hell of a stout.

the AleSmith beers just about all lean towards the heavy side, if you dig them you should check out their brewery, free tasters too Click here to enlarge

Their most awesomest beer has to be their Yulesmith Holiday Ale, brewed twice a year as Winter and Summer! They contain live yeast so you can store them for a few years and the taste will change over time.

After a long week in the field, it's great to enjoy some rare suds.

I had forgotten that Magic Hat also produces an incredible IPA, robust flavor from start to finish while keeping the bitterness in check. And 90% of Deschutes beers are amazing, anyone have the pleasure of visiting their brewery?

Defiantly all great beers. I'm on a Sam Adams rebel rouser and a Sam Adams rebel IPA kick right now. Rouser puts me on my ass especially when im grilling out and drink fast.

Found my home yay. I want to say to anyone in Southern Cali check out White Labs Tasting Room in San Diego. It's a super cool place that shows you how much a change different yeasts can make to one beer. They have all the basics on tap (porter, stout, Hefe, IPA, etc) BUT they offer each beer in about 4 different yeast variations! So cool to see the difference in taste. Also they produce the best yeast to use for home brews!

That is legit! Here in OK, we would only have about 4 that you would want to consider but if you find a barley wine then the night just got smoother, but personally I would go for a Koningshoeven Quad.
