    335 vs EVO9

    All runs conducted in mexico..

    e92 335i 6mt w/ Driver and 1 passenger -- JB4 (Map3), WW Meth Kit,35 additive, 60/40 mix, 93 octane, RR ******* DP's, Muffler Delete, BMS DCI, ER Chargepipe/Synapse BOV

EVO9 Driver and 1 Passenger -- All he told me was he was running E85(so new injectors, pump etc.), had bolt ons and cams and obviuosly a tune..27PSI he said...

Did several 60mph roll runs, me in starting in 3rd..he pulled about a car on me every run(no more than)...didn't get a chance to do any 4th gear 80mph pulls maybe i would've hung better..who knows..not really sure what other mods he has but it was def quick as hell i thought i would have had him..maybe if i run 109? Low quality cell phone videos to come shortly...evo had a go pro so ill post those up as soon as possible as well Click here to enlarge

He pulls right in the beginning and then holds you.

I was pretty shocked to see the evo pull so hard and continue to maintain the same distance. He was claiming somewhere around 380hp (non dyno proven I believe). All in all some good runs. Weather is great this time in Mexico btw. Click here to enlarge.

Highly doubt that he is only pushing 380 and pulling on you like that. Evo9's take very well to mods and tuned on e85 pushing that much boost would probably yield higher numbers. I'd say there's more in that car to pull on you like that than he is telling you.

Try him again with racegas+ higher meth concentration and more additive. Maybe do a couple logs first to make sure you are in the clear.

Looks like more than a car to me, he pulls you pretty quickly and easily.

Looks about right for an E85 Evo IX. You've got to keep in mind that depending on the cams, those alone are known to gain 20-30whp on stock turbos through the entire rpm range. He also may have been BS-ing you and had an FP turbo. They look stock to most people, but FP Red and FP Black turbos have powered a bunch of Evos to 9 second passes. The Evos also have very short gearing, so it's easy to jump ahead like that if he was at an RPM that gave full boost quickly. Their advantage usually goes away as the speeds go up, unless they have a massive turbo and some upgraded springs and retainers to allow a higher red line.
    Current: 2012 CTS-V - stock for now
    Past: 2009 135i 6MT - JB4, bolt ons, meth, E85
