Soon to be the fastest car on the road..

    TranStars Racing Dagger GT....
    http://www.gtr-xs.com/index.html

    Race
    models::
TranStar Racing has announced three “Race” packages as
    follows:

Dagger GT-R will be our road racing package, with a 2000 hp
engine, FIA safety package, dynamic, split rear wing, set up to challenge and
establish new lap records at Virginia International Raceway and at Nurburgring,
    Germany.

Dagger GT-LS will be our land-speed package with our 2700 hp
engine, 500 mph rated M/T landspeed tires, 1000 pounds of low front-end ballast,
full bellypan with twin venturi tunnels, land-speed wheel covers, intake aero
plugs, parachute, backup chute, Bonneville rollcage and a range of other options
to help our buyers set new landspeed records in excess of 315 mph/500kph.
Options will include landspeed instrumentation/avionics packages, base radio,
    windshield options and other possibilities.

Dagger GT-D will be our drag
racing package with our 2700 hp engine, Goodyear Pro Stock Slicks, or DOT ET
Drag tires, hydraulic-launched double drag chutes, drag wing, NHRA rollcage,
drag racing transaxle, a drag racing rear suspension that will emulate a Pro
Stock Dragster and enable 205 mph in the quarter mile for our friends who love
to drag race. We are also shooting for the 1900 hp Nissan Project Zed car’s 1.2
seconds in the zero-to-sixty mph. We also want to hit 280 mph to set a new
Standing Mile record, (76mph faster than the Bugatti Veyron at 204 mph in the
    Standing Mile.)

    STREET:

The Dagger GT-S will be our
    “Sport” model, a 50-state street-legal 600 to 800 hp version of the GT-R model.
The owner can specify his/her suspension preference and interior design
    features.

The Dagger GT-SS is our “Super Sport” model that can be
outfitted with either our 2000 hp or our 2700 hp racing engines. Our plan is to
try and get the 2000 hp engine to meet EPA emissions by 2013.

    The Dagger
GT-X will be our luxury model with the engine of your choice and sall the
interior luxuries imaginable and specified by the owner. This model has about
300 pounds of insulation and sound-proofing material to give it the feel and
sound suppression associated with top-end luxury motorcars. Suspension may be
soft, sport or race, as preferred by the owner.

    Killer All Star Team:

The TranStar Racing Team will custom design and hand-build a street-legal, or racing carbon fiber/aluminum Dagger GT to meet your preferences and tastes. This car is an uncompromised, unrestricted, exhibition race car designed to dazzle any onlooker, whether at a road course, NHRA drag strip or a top speed event like Bonneville - - or just cruising the beach. We will meet with you personally to go over all of the options you may wish to consider and make sure the car we build for you is exactly the car you want. We expect, and intend, to set records for production Supercars in all categories of racing. If you prefer a more comfortable street car, we can provide a more comfortable suspension system to fit your preferences. We also offer optional bolt-on packages (parachutes, etc.) so you can meet the requirements of the racing events that you may wish to participate in. Our race cars for drag and landspeed racing are equipped with 4130 Chromoly steel frames and roll cages to meet Bonneville (SCTA) and NHRA safety specs.
Matt Jackson with ‘After FX Customs’ will meet with you to help you select show-winning custom paint options that run the gamut from ‘mild to wild’. He will also help you select show-quality interior options from ‘race’ to ‘sport’ to ‘luxury’ if you prefer. Each car will be unique and hand-built by highly experienced award-winning craftsmen to fit your specific preferences while meeting our own tight carbon fiber body tolerances and standards of excellence associated with the world’s top luxury cars. Simply put, you should not be able to buy a better, faster car at any price. The Dagger is based on a creative mid-engine concept car, by industrial designer Ivan Luccion. The current CAD design was created by the talented Tom Van Ryn. Please refer to our detailed specs on our “specifications” page.
Click here to enlarge2700 Horsepower and 315 mph/500kph This is the website for the Dagger GT, the world’s fastest, 2700 horsepower,315 mph, mid-engine Supercar. The ‘Super’ in‘Supercar’ will soon have a newmeaning. Our aerodynamicist (consultant to NASA) has calculated that our 315 mph goal is achievable based on preliminaryhorsepower, frontal area, coefficient of drag and drag-area computations. We will add the hardtop and add ballast to run at this speed at Bonneville. Two experienced 300 mph Bonneville owner-drivers and one 436 mph Bonneville racer have joined our race team and also suggested that we should be able to reach our 315 mph goal.
Click here to enlargeNo. 1 Top Team - The TranStar All Stars! The Dagger GT™ will be produced by an All-American All-star team of existing, experienced, proven race car builders, engine builders and racing parts suppliers. Phil Frank, the designer of the former record holder, the Saleen S7, is on the team as our Consulting Director of Design. Tom Nelson routinely produces 2000+ hp multi-fuel twin-turbo 427 and 632 cubic-inch racing engines for his many satisfied clients. Mike Mendeola will provide a custom, 6-speed, 300 mph transaxle and is the top US transaxle fabricator. Our team includes proven race car and show car winners and racing chassis-builder. Dagger GT™ components are made in the USA and are state-of-the-art, but proven, reliable, off-the-rack, low-risk technologies. There are no rookies on our team nor any unproven parts in the Dagger GT™.
Click here to enlargeWorld Record Goals - The Dagger GT™ is being designed specifically to break the 300 mph barrier and be the first-ever Supercar to do it. The Dagger GT™ will be a mid-engine, limited production, streetable, racing roadster that is expected to establish world records in its class for top speed, slalom and acceleration. The Dagger will feature a removable hardtop. This car will attempt a world record-setting top speed of 315 mph, for modified turbocharged fuel sports cars at Bonneville and it will run at the Virginia International Raceway to attempt to secure the “Lightning Lap” record on the USA’s top road course. It has been mathematically computed that the car will run under 6.6 seconds and over 205 mph in the quarter mile and less than 1.2 seconds for the zero-to-sixty record. The Dagger’s competing ‘supercars’ run over 2.8 seconds in the 0 to 60 and over 9.8 seconds in the quarter mile. The Dagger’s nearest competitors will not be close in terms of performance or value. This will not be a debatable issue once the performance runs are completed and independently timed.
In short, this will be the number one performing supercar in the world. It will have a unique, dazzling ‘edgy’ appearance and will feature a polished Nelson Racing Engines multi-fuel aluminum 632 Twin Turbo. The vehicle components will include off-the-shelf, proven technology and will be fabricated by the top race car builders in the U.S.
Programmable Horsepower - Tom Nelson’s big-horsepower turbo engines are amazing. They will automatically add boost and increase racing fuel mix depending on the fuel and boost map you specify and we input into the engine management computer. It can produce 1300 HP on pump gas and 2000 HP on race fuel which are provided via two fuel tanks and dual fuel injectors for each cylinder. If driven normally, with a light foot, fuel consumption is not unreasonable for a big block engine. At 300 mph please expect to empty the gas tanks in under 5 minutes…which will be a few minutes after the street tires melt! (300 mph land-speed tires are one of our many options offered that you get to choose from as part of your purchase... so you can reach “empty” at 300 mph without the tires melting)
Retail Pricing for this car is subject to change and has not yet been finalized but will be in the $750,000+ range depending on the model and options you prefer to include in your custom vehicle. You may customize your vehicle to your tastes with a host of combinations of options available. For example, you may choose a ‘race’, ‘sport’, or ‘luxury’ interior with real wood, stitched leather and velour finishes, if you wish.
Brand Name - Someone asked us, “How are you going to compete with brand name luxury cars like the Bugatti Veyron, the Ferrari Enzo, etc.?” We said, “Our brand will be displayed in the timing lights. We will be branded by our performance.” How does “world’s fastest” sound to you as a brand? Do you want a ‘prancing horsey’ logo or a stampede of two thousand horses? The Dagger GT is a ‘performance dagger’ in the heart of its restricted and compromised “competitors.” Case closed. The custom-made Dagger GT is strictly for enthusiasts that are not satisfied with 200 to 250 mph cars, and 600 to1200 hp cars that cost over $950,000 to over two million dollars.
Bonneville Pit Passes - If you are a qualified, possible buyer, passionate about performance and value, we invite you to join us at the Miami Top Gun Standing Mile and at Bonneville as our VIP guest in our pit area. These passes are very limited. We will include everyone at our Victory Party after Miami’s Top Gun and Bonneville. E-mail us.
Reservations - If you wish to secure a place in our production line , at pre-production prices, please e-mail us and include your telephone number.. If you are interested in discussing a possible purchase of a Dagger GT™, we will schedule an initial conference to reserve a place for you on our production schedule. Sign up for the Dagger before all of our initial production cars are gone. We will only produce 36 highly refined, hand-made cars in 2011/2012 so sign up early.
    Please e-mail us at ncmiller@GTR-XS.com
Projected Status - We are in the final design-development phase . Our schedule calls for production and testing of our prototypes in 2011 followed by production of our first 36 production cars in 2011/2012.
Purchasing/Production Process - After our initial teleconference and if you are an interested, serious and qualified buyer, we will invite you to Fort Lauderdale to test drive a prototype and meet with you as long as needed so you can carefully consider and choose the precise options and specifications you want for your custom car. You will be given an opportunity to drive a prototype. Following this, we will sign a mutually agreed upon purchase order including a schedule for your payments and the production of your custom car. We anticipate delivery of your car within 3 to 6 months of triggering production. You will be able to watch your vehicle being assembled on our streaming, realtime webcam.
Assembly Building - TranStar Racing has made preliminary arrangements to assemble the Dagger GT in Lake Worth, Florida at a large, very attractive headquarters campus featuring executive and management offices, a showroom, conference rooms, and a large assembly building. Our facilities are located conveniently close to several high speed automotive test facilities, including the Miami-Dade/Collier Training Airport / Land-speed Track, the famed, world-class Palm Beach International Raceway (formerly, Moroso Motorsports Park) and the Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Drive a Veyron and I think you're perspective changes.... The car has no competition because nothing else is like it. By this I mean it was built to be the most luxurious & fastest road going GT someone could buy. Other cars may have less weight, more power or comparable speeds but nothing else offers it all in one package. I'd take a Mosler MT900 over a variety of cars out there, the only car that gets to the Veyron for me is the Huayra

Fully understand the perspective...although I always ask about the point of the Veyron...Yes, it's a heavy gt car that can do 260 mph... the question is so what??? I am willing to put money on it that maybe 1 or 2 Veyron owners have gone that speed. That essentially makes its capabilities obsolete. It's not that great of a 1/4 mie car... cheaper cars would kill it. It's a poor track car and never sees track time nor has ever seen a 'ring run or record. IMHO, top speed is a very poor factor when comparing cars as it is the least relevant to a potential owner... It's a car that truly was built with no rhyme and reason, to make matters worse, a few Veyron owners actually ship it places above 250 miles as it is cheaper than driving it. Yet others have killed their tire warranty by installing aftermarket wheels and tires... ruining the top speed anyways.

    I enjoyed reading this part:

"I am with you, but aren’t your competitors and detractors gonna whine and cry ‘foul’ if you break all their records while breaking their precious rules?

Yes, they will. Our answer is: “Homey don’t play by your rules!” These are OUR rules: UNLIMITED. Stop crying like ballerinas and try and beat us, using OUR rules… if you can! Now, for the first time, in a long time, we can start having fun again! In bicycle racing, this is called a breakaway. Let’s see who wants to chase us!"

With all that said.....I'm still more impressed with the Veyron than the Venom GT, or that terribly named thing at the top of the page.
