Avatars now dim when user is offline

Minor change implemented that I think is nice. Basically, if a user is offline their avatar will be slightly dimmed. I can adjust how much it dims.

Let me know if you like it.

    Does not work in IE8.
    No avatar is displayed instead.
And honistly, the green ball next to the username already indicates if someone is online or not.
    Why is that not enough?

true, but sometimes i tend to bypass the green light. I guess having another indicator isnt bad at all

So, would it be better to make the light red instead of green?
Or brighter? BlinkingClick here to enlarge?
This all instead of having another indicator indicating the same, which you then also could overlook, and make a 3rd indicator.....
You see where this is going?
I think having 2 indicators indicating the same is overdone to begin with.
And when one of the indicators clearly is not functioning in all browsers impairing the look of the forum, don't implement it.
And yes, IE8 is old, but it is still widely used.

I have IE9 at home, and Chrome, but at work we still have XP and IE8, nothing can be done about that for at least the coming 6 months...
Anyways, I am sure I'm not alone in this.
Better implement features if it works on all browsers.

IE8 shows no avatar until you mouseover the place where an avatar is, and click and then it shows the avatar in grey...

Ugh, if it doesn't work for IE8 I will uninstall.

I'm tempted to go to your work and upgrade the computers. How can they be so far behind?

    12.000 computers?
I think you will be welcomed with open arms if you manage to do this and preserve local information within a short period, and also upgrade all apps, EPD letters and housestyle to Office 2010, make all distribution software Windows7 packaged and make sure all corporate software runs Windows7 and runs it reliable. Also upgrade all serverfarms to 2008 server, update the DCs and scripts and server application testing. It takes time, and big companies don't want to spend the resources unless there is absolute need and big gains. In this case it was the need...
This project has been underway for over a year, and starts in October.
It needs to be finished before Microsoft stops it's support for XP 2nd quarter 2014.

Nah, I could do that myself, but then would not be able to give proper support when needed or check if problems with users are computer related or network related...
One of the PC's on my desk will be spooled in for the POC, so I could have W7 within a month, at least thrue MSTSC.
I just can't imagine I'm the last Mohican with Xp that watches BB.
Don't you log with what browser BB is viewed?
What % of visitors uses IE8?

I log what browsers are used. It goes Firefox, IE, then Chrome.

I would have to check what % is IE8. All I know is everyone hates IE especially the guys at Vbulletin. It's crap.
