Beautiful SL with Carbon fiber Hood

This is from AC tuning in Germany. It is the first time I actually see a vented Carbon fiber hood on an R230 SL-class face lift. Check it out:

This is the first carbon hood I think I've seen for the R230. The hood looks good, definitely. The wheels are way too bling.

You are correct! Just called them. Its a hood from TC concepts. It weighs 25lbs.Factory Hood weighs about 40-45 lbs. It takes about 6-8 weeks to get completed when you place an order

    I've seen a vendor make a Carbon fiber hood for my pre-facelifted SL55 (R230).
Company made the hood and the trunk, but the pictures were too small, when i contacted them i never recieved an email back

Agree, people have to understand that the Lexani era is over, these wheels dont suit a mercedes benz. Actually they dont even suit any car!

Owner needs to replace rear lights with the AMG version ones. These lights look very outdated with the new SL65 BS bodykit

People who don't know any better still like those types of rims.

Fitment not 100% spot-on but it looks decent enough. Nice weight savings...although it doesn't really matter that much. We're talking about a 4000 lb car. What's 20 lbs gonna do? It's not a track car anyway. You guys are talking crap about wheels but clamoring over a lighter hood?
BTW, I love wheels with big shiny lips, but I could do without the center design of these.

To each his own I guess.

It's because the wheels are more of a bling bling style that doesn't belong on a Benz.

What they belong on is subjective and up to the individual.
Like I said I love wheels with shiny lips.

No. This for example has no business on a Benz:

Is that even a real wheel?
That's a little over-the-top even for country boys.
