the only other downside I can see is the N63/S63 having faulty oil pump designs where they are breaking the pump or snapping the chain, resulting in the loss of the motor. My friends dealer is on their 3rd one this week, and it made headlines on the other site..Sticky you should put that article up.

I was at the dyno the day OE tuning made 509whp on a new CLS63. Monster of a car I tell you.

I don't really have a lot of info on the N63/S63 oil pumps...

Thanks a lot, very informative! I wish we could hear more on the result of the Renntech work on the improved tune. Seems there is not much info about it.

great info Sticky. is this the most recent info? I've purchased a 2014 CLS 550 and will be adding the Renntech tune as soon as it gets delivered. Any other performance tips that you would consider worth the expense? Thanks

Most recent I know of. Tune, downpipes, exhaust, that's all you have available for now and all are recommended. The next step is turbo upgrades.

Thanks Sticky. Do you think that the ecu tune really raises hp to 530? That sure seems like an economical way to get close to 63 power.

The ECU tune is the biggest part I believe whatever Renntech hit is true.

I have independent tests (on a conservative Mustang Dyno) that show approx 520HP and 625TQ from a RENNtech tune on my CLS550 4Matic.
BTW- These calculations were figured with 18% drivetrain loss on an AWD chassis.

I would love some sick unit to put one of these engines in a tiny little 2800 lb car (if possible)
