Macht Schnell 3" N54 DPs, JB4 w/ USB & BMS Intakes
Macht Schnell True 3" Downpipes for the N54, top of the line in terms of build quality and performance, have an accessory bung in each pipe.
-lightly used (around 8k miles on them) small scrape around the indent designed into them to prevent rubbing (got lazy when i was installing the first time...wait to tighten everything down and they don't rub)
-i'll include the AR Extreme Exhaust Hardware too (the AR Bombproof Gaskets got beat up by the DPs in my last move or i would include them too) ........................$400 shipped (CONUS)
Burger Tuning Dual Cone Intake, small rub mark on one filter screen where it sits against engine, but NO hole or damage to filter media..............................$50 shipped (CONUS)
Burger Tuning Juice Box 4 with USB cable, bought new from BMS (~16k miles on it) perfect condition....$325 shipped (CONUS)

I would buy the downpipes for 300, because I have to source gaskets and I'm just going to buy stainless hardware anyway.

Does the fact they are a true 3'' as possible give any proven performance over the competition? I mean I know they should obviously but is it only noticeable with RBs or VS2s?

to your edit:
it mostly has to do with the cooling of the exhaust gas. It is still very hot exiting the turbo and so the longer you can kep it 3" the longer the gas has to cool and become denser to fit into the smaller pipe (aka exhaust).

Most of the RWD downpipes for the 335 I've seen are three inches until the flange for the cat-back, then they match the cat back pipe ID in the last inch or so of the pipe.
There are also two gaskets used between the downpipes and the turbos. I would replace them as well if I went to the trouble to change the down pipes.
I have heard many a success story with the "cheap" downpipes. You can get the BMS ones for what some might consider cheap prices as well.

The cheap DPs like the ~$300 whatever they cost now are 2.5"...most companies making a 3" start at 3 and very quickly drop to 2.5. These are some of the best performing on the market. Unless you really hurting for cash (why a BMW then) you really want either Macht Schnell or AR Design. Not that others won't net gains...but like you said, if you are going to go through the trouble why not do it right. That being said for those hurting for cash a used set of the Chinese brands are better than stock...(2.5" the whole way) I have compared dynos with them though and to me the performance is worth it.

I'm just trying to take them off your hands. No one made an offer for couple of days, so I made my offer.
The MS pipes look to be the same in proportion concerning the pipe diameter and the neck down towards the flange for the cat back as the BMS pipes which look the same as the VRSF pipes. Just look at the diameter vs. the neck down at the cat back flange. The aforementioned companies all claim the pipes are 3 inches as well, up to the neck down at the flange where the pipe changes to 2.5 inches to transition to the cat back.
As for the gasket I am going off realOEM, and it indicates 18307553601 is the gasket that goes between the downpipe and the turbo.
I'm open to negotiate if you would like to make me a counter offer. I'm not trying to insult you here.

These go for $600 new now. If you prefer to go with the chinese replicas new then by all means man. I'm just saying that getting gaskets isn't a good reason for changing the price.
