Supercharged M3 versus single turbo upgrade 335i - ESS VT2-625 supercharged E92 M3 DCT S65 V8 versus Vishnu single turbo 335i with meth injection

Interesting race here with the ever popular M3 versus 335i topic. Before this race creates a World War on BimmerBoost it really goes exactly as expected. Despite what Vishnu would have people think about "their" (FFtec) single turbo kit for the N54 it ends up just a bit slower than a DCT M3 running a basic Vortec V3si supercharger kit at 7 psi with a 91 octane pump gas tune. The 335i even has meth injection which of course it will need due to how Vishnu tends to go about masking fuel issues when trying to make big power on the N54 with the turbo kit.

The 335i is likely a manual as the automatic single turbo cars still do not seem to be making the same power as the manual vehicles. So, at this point, it will really take a manual 335i with meth on race gas with the ST kit to keep pace with a mild supercharged DCT M3 on 91 pump as seen in the vid. The M3 pulls, but the 335i does a nice job considering the M3 seems to get a jump on it and has the disadvantage seen during shifts due to the dual clutch M3 transmission.

The main thing this video shows is Shiv@Vishnu needs to beat stock internal M3's before running his mouth about what this turbo kit can do against more stout BMW's including more powerful M3's. Which right now, as the video shows, is not much of anything.

A win is win... However what I find interesting are the following things

    1. They dont start evenly at all and initially the M3 pulls without question
    2. Around 16-20 secs the 335 pulls hard puffs and puffs some smoke
    3. It repeats that same thing around the 24-27sec mark as well.

No idea how the car is tuned but it would appear the 335 is pretty damn quick and needing more tuning to be 100%. But as I said a win is win

I'm sure this car could improve but it would be like saying the M3 could use a race gas tune, 11 psi of boost, and meth injection.

A car with a VT2-625 kit is not "basic" or "mild supercharged" in my book.

Still, a win is a win.

As stated the 3 series appears to need more tuning, it's showing signs of speed in the run. If thats the final tune of the car it appears lacking. If its still being developed then I wouldnt count it out quite yet.

A win is a win is a win!! But you can see the M3 had a nice jump and the 335 fell asleep on this . As the race goes i could not see the 335 beating the M, but like Sledge stated it needs a better tuning and better drive(r) next time but It must of been fun to keep up with the Jones's

The Vishnu/FFTEC Single Turbos have been getting "tuned" for over a year now (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=651949), at this rate Sticky's car will be running 100% before the Vishnu/FFTEC STs

Fixed & that's Shiv's bull$#@! math that every PSI is adding ~20 WHP. Honestly I couldn't care less about the Vishnu/FFTEC ST because it has yet to prove itself in real world conditions besides a dyno.

I think that is the same M3 I raced in Bakersfield and put 2-3 cars on with our 135 when it would shift properly. That car makes 500rw. It seems like the single turbo car has to be making the equivalent of only 460whp or so at least in this video.

Here is a video of captaininsano racing one of our customers who makes around 430whp. He's full weight with a passenger and loses by 2-3 cars on a clean start? This race is more baffling to me than the other video in this thread!

Man those single turbo kits sure seem like a waste. Have not seen anything that I would consider "proven" regarding these expensve ass kits. Terry's 135i beat the same M3 that single turbo 335i ran I believe. What the $#@! is wrong with those singles after almost a year since their release?

They claim around 500 whp with the non intercooled kits.
