Prior Design Widebody C63 Build thread

I prefer doing raw threads with the nitty gritties and showing the dirty part of getting a car to look good or go fast.
This thread is in regard to the fitment of the Prior Design Black Series kit on my C63 4 Door.

I ordered the full body kit in two phases from Prior Design Germany. First the rear then the front section.
Upon arrival they had mistakenly sent me the arches for the two door and added the correct ones in when they sent the front section.
On initial inspection the front bumper has been broken as pictured below due to the box being transported upside down. You can see the airticket labels on the box are wrong way round vs the Prior Design lables. Looking at the broken bumper lets me conclude that in fact the body items are fibre glass and not partial ABS plastic. This was confirmed by the body shop as well. Prior has offered to compensate me for the repair of the damage. Click here to enlarge
I did some test fitment as well to get a idea of what we are in for.

All the items across the floor of the body shop.

Rear bumper removed. You can see the stock stiffener that hold the bumper in place.

Custom stiffener that keeps the bumper in shape and on the car.

Bumper internals was modified adding quite a few additional brackets.

Rear bumper put in place. So far so good.

Only problem to face is the muffler does not line up well. Its the Agency power valvetronic for daily use so I am going to have to make a plan with this as it makes a big difference when commuting in traffic.

We now have the bumper on.

This is the amount the bumper sticks out vs the stock arch.

Since Barry is a perfectionist he was not just going to glue on the Prior Arches and call it a day. He decided to go the extra mile on his own accord and build a metal arch support.

I am loving the attention to detail. Even the part of the arch that will be in door sill is supported. You know in case a fat chic wants to roll in.

This piece is added to the door to make the arch flow correctly. On the bottom left there is a semi circle. Its the only very slight dent on my car.

I thought Prior-Design claimed their parts were dura-flex fiber reinforced plastic? They are fiberglass?

The majority is fibre glass. The outside layer seems to be something else which my guys here cannot identify.

Doors are on and aligned perfectly. Some nitty gritties left like fitting the mesh grills and doing some gloss black painting on the mirrors, side skirt, bumpers and rear wing and I should have her.
