    2015 W205 C63: articles, facts, specifications. Rumors: 5.5L V8 TT, M157, 4matic, DCT

I wanted to start this thread to compile information for the 2015 W205 C63:
Magazine and internet articles, rumors, facts, and specifications, release dates, etc.

I have read rumors that the 2015 C63 will receive the M157 5.5 Liter V8 twin turbo engine and the 4matic all wheel drive system from the 2014 E63 and a dual clutch transmission.

If the 2015 C63 indeed receives the M157, 4matic, and a DCT, I think it will be the ultimate daily driver..... especially for four season climates.

I am dying for this car and any information I can find prior to it's release.

    My favorite article so far:
    Mercedes C63 AMG
Our photographers have also spotted the new C63 AMG testing ahead of its 2014 release date. The images in our gallery show it sporting bigger, chunkier bumpers, large alloy wheels and twin exhaust housings at the rear.

Unlike the present car, with its 6.3-litre V8, the new C63 will be powered by a more efficient 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8. It is expected to have the same 518bhp output as the E63 and CLS 63, which also use the newer turbocharged engine. That’s a jump of 67bhp.

It will also have the same AMG-tuned seven-speed MCT automatic transmission, which along with retuned adaptive suspension, stronger brakes and less weight should help it improve on the current C63 AMG’s 4.5-second 0-62mph time, while using less fuel.

Meanwhile, a four-wheel drive C63 AMG is considered. AMG’s senior powertrain engineering manager, Dr Jorg Gindele said: “Yes, a C63 is possible. There is one car already [a prototype at AMG's headquarters in Affalterbach, Germany]. I know this because it’s my car!”

Heh, copy pasted eh? My links are blocked out. You should have written 'germanboost.com' instead of 'benzboost' as germanboost isn't blocked. I'd appreciate an edit!

I am excited about this release as well. I didn't see it in the articles, how much weight are they trying to shed?

It was obviously a cut and paste. No sense typing it twice. Click here to enlarge

As far as the ******** replacing your URL, the link works, and credit is given, that's all that matters.
I ASSumed that site blocks most URLs to avoid spam.
Regardless, I'm just a newb trying to get my feat wet in the AMG world, not trying to get involved in any drama.
But, based on the "Boost" in "BenzBoost.com", I'm probably going to spend most of my AMG time on here. Click here to enlarge

The link doesn't work with the ***** replaced that is why they do it. All you have to do is change benz to german and it works...

    Ahhhhh.
    Gotcha.

I cut and pasted the URL's from your articles into the "URL tool" in their editor one more time to see if that fixes the links in my thread over there.

I also see that you limit the amount of time we can edit our posts on here.
I'm not a fan of that.
Especially when I like to add links and info in the first post of the threads I start.
Maybe you can lift the edit time limit someday?

I would have added this link below to the list of all the 2015 C63 articles I am collecting:

Possibly but it opens up a can of worms as edits provide no notification. So what do I do if you upload in a bunch of porn after an edit? You see the problem?

I can just add it in for you. Added.

So, you are going to give me the ability to have no time limit to edit my posts like on all the other forums I use?
    If so, Nice!
    Thanks.

    PS.
I won't upload any of my porn.
I don't think any of my ex-girlfriends would be happy to find themselves on the internet. Click here to enlargeClick here to enlarge

I mean what I can do is make it so the OP is editable indefinitely but that's about it.

Most of these reports are just speculation. Considering the C has always had a detuned version of it's bigger brother the E class, I seriously doubt it will have the same power. And I doubt it will get the M157. Many of the early reports are calling for a 4.0L TT V8. It'd be awesome if it got the M157 and AWD but I think that's just wishful thinking.

The 4.0 liter turbo is also supposed to go in the SLK.

    I do NOT want a 4.0 liter engine. I want a 5.5 liter engine.
    If I wanted a 4.0 TT, I would have bought the S6.
AMG can shove this M177 in a chick car.
Give me the M157 in a lightweight C63 with 4matic and a DCT.

I don't see anything wrong with a 4.0 liter V8 twin turbo personally.

Well I'm sure that AMG is going to do exactly what YOU want LOL.
The 4.0L TT will be highly tunable and probably be able to rev higher than the 5.5L motor. Don't get your panties in a bunch until it actually comes out.

If the car is lighter the 4.0 will be fine. You can get a lighter Benz with the smaller motor that almost offsets it.

Look at the drag race video between the A45 AMG with a freaking 2.0 liter four banger versus the M157 CLS63 AMG...

I think people have just become spoiled with all these recent big displacement motors. The M156 was a friggin big block for christ sakes...People are going to have to get ready for all the smaller displacement high revving FI motors that are going to become commonplace with all the EPA guidlines.

How about every man with a set of balls and any tuning experience wants 5.5 over a 4.0 liter.

What does tuning have to do with displacement ?? And if you are so concerned with displacement get a C63 with the M156.

They would rather make a car that improves on performance of the previous model but doesn't compete with their higher end, more expensive models. Another thing to note is most countries are so worried about CO2 car emissions, and a smaller displacement engine will definitely be on the cards.
