This is the long wheelbase S600 Pullman version of the W222 S-Class which will replace the Maybach - X222 spyvideo

Maybach is dead and buried. The brand officially ended in 2013 although the end of Maybach was already common knowledge in 2011. It was in that report from 2011 that BenzBoost stated a top of the line S600 Pullman extended wheelbase car would take the place of the Maybach 57 and 62 models. Let's be honest, the Maybach vehicles themselves were just a rebadged and slightly retouched S-Class with an extended wheelbase.

That is likely why they did not sell as expected and Mercedes decided to terminate the brand. What you see below in the spyvideo is the S600 Pullman chassis known internally as X222. It is of course based on the new W222 S-Class. The Pullman will come exclusively with the M279 V12 and an AMG version should not be expected unless Mercedes just wants to go totally crazy.

The car looks just like the W222 S-Class except much, much longer.
