Any mod their CGI engine?
I understand that for most the CGi engine is about efficiency and whatnot. But seeing that turbo nestled in there for someone who's been in with cars as long as I have is just too much of a temptation so see what it can do. However it's also pretty much the red headed step child of sorts with most tuners focusing on the AMG engines and support more for the long time kompressor variants.
For the time being I have a tuning box, custom enclosed intake and Eisenmann race exhaust but I'm trying to see if anyone has gone further than that? Catless DP is on my list but I'm also looking for a real tune and FMIC upgrade and maybe swapping in the turbo from the C250. But there's barely any information on this engine let alone others who share this search for more power. Hopefully I can find more like minded people on this site than the other MB forums.

Any more details on your car? Which model do you have?
This forum is more about modding and performance so let's see how we can help you out.

Weird, I thought I wrote my car model in my profile, sorry. I have a W204 2010 C200 with 5G tronic. My current performance mods are
-a custom metal enclosed intake box (K&N cone filter) wrapped in DEI Gold reflective tape
-gold reflective tape wrapped intake tube
-Straight pipe from OEM DP back to Eisenmann Race muffler
-TMC Tuning box (Stock 6 Setting)
-Sun Auto Grounding kit
-Custom Air Diverter to push more air flow into the intake
-Modified BMS oil catch can
I'm planning on either a catless DP or high flow catted one in the near future but without a proper tune I can't optimize my components together. I've asked around and OETuning is still working on their C250 tune so I'd need for them to finish that before they can work on a C200 plus my ECU is a Siemens which means it would need a bench flash. McChip apparently has never worked on my ECU before or so stated by their dealer here in Hong Kong which was originally my choice for tuning before I ended up with the TMC Box. Eurocharged wasn't able to get back to me last time they were in HK regarding my ECU.

I should clarify, I know this car will never be a beast, the engine/turbo combo alone stonewalls any dreams of that. A high comp engine paired with a small as balls turbo is just horrible for any of those kinds of aspirations. However I do think there is room for optimization of the car and maybe squeezing a little more out of the car. But the lack of info on this engine and even less people who are willing to mod or dive into this engine make things quite difficult. Plus I am tired of getting walked but lightly modded GTi's, R32's and the lot of them.
My friend with a 2013 C200 has loaded a C250 map into his car, seems to run fine though some of his electronics have gone retard though I suppose a small price to pay.
We have also discussed the idea of swapping in the injectors and turbo from a C250 but again, without a proper tune that won't be fully beneficial.

Yes, though it's based on assumption but I'm fairly sure the C250 has a different map than our C180/200's given it has different turbo and supporting parts. Also, from my conversation with Jeremy at OETuning, my car is running the Siemens ECU rather than the Bosch. Seems the Siemens ECU is more tricky to crack.W204 Pre-FL riced out C200.

I appreciate even just the conversation, it's hard to find anyone even willing to talk about this car and modding. Most of the members in my local Benz club talk about mileage which I find odd because then they should've gotten a Toyota or Honda instead.
The engine code is
DE18LA (M271Evo, 271.8XX)
W204 Pre-FL riced out C200.

Are you sure it is M271? From what I am reading it should be under the M270 family:
Mercedes-Benz has systematically transferred the BlueDIRECT technology of the V6 and V8 engines in the Mercedes-Benz luxury class. The BlueDIRECT four-cylinder petrol engines for the new A-Class combine great responsiveness and exemplary power delivery with outstanding efficiency and the best emission figures in this class. The world-first CAMTRONIC, an innovative valve lift adjustment feature, makes a major contribution to this. There is a choice of 1.6 or 2-litre variants of the new four-cylinder engine family for the A-Class, covering a power range from 90 kW (122 hp) and 200 Nm to 155 kW (211 hp) and 350 Nm.
Thanks to BlueDIRECT and highly precise piezo-injection, the new engines are already expected to meet the Euro-6 emission standard for petrol engines coming into force from 2015. Even the much more stringent diesel particulate limit in the Euro-6 standard is already bettered with no additional exhaust aftertreatment. This was a major motivation for introducing BlueDIRECT into this segment as well. This means that the completely newly developed generation of four-cylinder petrol engines is ideally prepared for the future.
The basis for all three petrol engine variants in the new A-Class is the all-aluminium M 270 engine with two chain-driven overhead camshafts and four-valve technology. This power unit is extremely versatile, and will also be gradually introduced into larger model series. In this way it also contributes to a sustained reduction in production costs. The four-cylinder can be installed transversely (M 270) or longitudinally (M 274), and combined with front, rear or 4MATIC all-wheel drive, and also with a manual, automatic torque converter or dual clutch transmission.

DE18LA (M271Evo, 271.8XX)
This is the last version of M271 engine family. Dimensions are the same as E18ML and DE18ML, but the supercharger has been replaced with a turbocharger; like the DE18ML it uses the CGI (Stratified Charged Gasoline Injection) gasoline direct injection. Output ranges from 156 PS (115 kW) at 5200 rpm to 204 PS (150 kW) at 5500 rpm.
- 2009 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W204) C 180 CGI, C 200 CGI, C 250 CGI
Ours is labeled Blue Efficiency, Blue Direct might be a new thing or specific to the A-Class? Also, anyone know which ECU the CLA AMG or not is running? If it's running the Siemens and not the Bosch I'd be a bit annoyed tuners are able to tune that and not oursW204 Pre-FL riced out C200.
