Email or call us anytime and we would be happy to share details with you. We have customers running our turbo package on pretty much all M157 equipped models including the new 6x6 G63. We also have transmission upgrades for the 722.9 which is in your ML63 and we have multiple records with cars equipped with this transmission. We would be happy to assist. Thank you.

I exchanged e-mails with Steve from Weistec who was helpful in giving me a fairly-detailed explanation of what he would recommend. I got a somewhat-cryptic response from Tomas at Renntech who says that: "We are currently working on something that will allow the power that engine can produce to get to the ground in that drive train at up. It will be a few more weeks until it is done. Once we have that done then the turbo upgrade will make more sense. I will keep you posted and put a quote together when I have the details." I asked for clarification but haven't gotten any yet.

Renntech's response to my asking for more info about what is in progress:

We are still working on the programming. What we are working on will benefit 4matic vehicles including ML G GL and the 2014 cars with 4matic.

It has to do with the programming that is built into the 4matic system.

I will email the engineers and see if there is any update.

That's good info! Looks like they are specifically tailoring something for the all wheel drive drivetrains.

I would love to know if there are new developments for the 4Matics as I have a Renntech tune on my CLS and want to get into the 10's without a turbo upgrade. Any insight LennyClick here to enlarge

I suggest calling RENNtech @ 561-845-7888 and contact with George Leca ext.115. Also, in comparison to other AMG SUVS 4matic (G63 & GL63), the ML63 it's the best SUV performer in the line up when modified for on road use.

Tell me more about the GL550 that was done. I am particularly interested in how far the heavier models equipped with the M157 and 4matic have done with turbo upgrades, but the GL550 is a start if there are no others.
The GL550 with turbo upgrade will be at same level of the GL63 550hp biturbo. We've done a few G63 biturbo turbocharger upgrades with great success, the difference on the G63 from the ML/GL63 it's the closer gearing drivetrain designed for off roading.

If you've already done the ML63 with our RENNtech tune, we can gladly work out in upgrading your ML63 biturbo turbochargers. We can always be reached by phone.

Hi H! Well, there's a few new things brewing at work =) Getting 1/4 mile drag into the 10's it's nice, but picking up another 10mph in trap speed it's what I am interested on the 4matic without the need of sacrificing emissions. Since, we are the 1st ones that already did it for the AMG63 RWD biturbo inhouse demo while keeping car with pump gas, CARB, emmission legal & fully street car.

Yes, keeping my ML63 quiet is a priority. Any ETA you can share on these developments?

Bumping this. I have been emailing with Russell Erickson at Renntech who states the torque limitations are still an issue, but it seems Vasily's 4matic car is running strong with upgraded turbos. So, what's the deal? Ok for the "lighter" cars but not the SUVs?

I'm not sure but his car is running REALLY strong.

    @m54b25
For sure. That's what's puzzling to me. Seems these more-upgraded turbos make the turbo upgrade even more worth it from a HP/dollar perspective particularly if the TCU issues are resolved.

Why is this negative repped??? Sticky, please take care of this stupid middle-east connection here where a group of aggressive people are playing their games. This will tear your whole forum down and no American or European guy wants to share any info anymore because they don't want to battle with these people every time. This is only a car forum and I have never seen so much hate and fight like here...I'm out of here if this does not change.

I agree I am getting very sick of the same small group negative repping people in tandem and I may just block those individuals from the system entirely.

Still looking for this more-powerful turbo upgrade and removal (or significant revamping) of torque limiting on shifts for my ML63, even if this means a trans upgrade.
