    M133 A45 Renntech Stage 1

So someone finally tested the renntech stage 1 ECU module and the results are impressive especially since everyone one thought this car was close to maxed out from the factory !

    http://www.aclassclub.co.uk/forum/re...topic2051.html

Even on a damp road he was able to nail down a 3.8 0-60 but the top end gains are what's impressive 0-100 in 8.7 down from over 10 seconds. Quarter mile in 12.1 @ 117+ mph !! I know the vbox reads high on trap but get this car on a prepped track with good tires and weather and it should hit 12 flat if not better @ Atleast 115. Can't wait to see it with downpipes/intake/race gas it should be a beast ! So much for the guy discounting it because it was only a 2.0 liter small displacement 4 cylinder. AMG worked their magic once again

Phenomenal engineering performance by AMG (add Renntech) ... with proper set up this 3600 lb little blaster will be doing 3.5s on the 0-60 and 8.2s to 100.... incredible

Before and after VBOX results on an A45 AMG with the Renntech Stage I M133 tune

Here are before and after VBOX results on an A45 AMG from the UK. Now keep in mind since these numbers are on a VBOX they are comparatively higher than what one would see on a drag strip. The reason for that being is a drag strip averages numbers for trap speed as you break two sets of beams whereas the VBOX gives you the prices mile per hour as indicated through GPS (global positioning system). Trap speeds would drop by roughly 2 miles per hour on an actual strip.

That said the before and after results here still show a large improvement. The stock 0-100 time times shows 10.3 seconds. With the addition of the Renntech Stage I tune only this drops to 8.8 seconds. That is a significant difference in acceleration.

1/4 mile numbers go from 12.9 @ 112.1 stock to 12.1 @ 117.6 with the Stage I tune. Another large difference and the trap speed difference of 5 miles per hour between stock and tuned would likely be closer to four on the drag strip. Regardless, this tune is showing a large difference in performance using the same testing hardware and that is what is important to notice.

It is becoming increasingly evident that with bolt ons and race gas the M133 motor looks like it will be capable of 11 second 1/4 mile performance. For a factory 2.0 liter four-cylinder on the stock turbo and motor that is excellent performance.

So why do people hate on this car?

That trap is a bit inflated though. The ET isn't.

And They'll hate the GLA even more because it'll be a high 12 second SUV that is half the price of most performance German SUV and 1/3 Cheaper than any decent American SUV that would sorta keep up with it.
