    Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack

Very cool. This is leading up to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. I'll probably have the slowest car there, but I'm still planning on attending.

That's sick, I saw this post on FB. Shift sector is getting big going around the US and doing it.

Yep. Even more awesome is that they've tied it in to the PPIHC (which, btw, is now sponsored by The Broadmoor - an incredible hotel in Colorado Springs - one of the few 5-star/5 diamond hotels in the world). Pretty awesome.

100 per day is a good way to keep it. I feel that is optimal.

I've never been to one (let alone hosted one), but it seems like keeping the number of cars to a smaller amount is a good idea. I'd want to be able to get a lot of passes in. Plus, they can always do another one Click here to enlarge Should be fun.

I imagine most of the cars that participate in these types of events have some sort of forced induction, but if not, I think there will be a lot of normally aspirated cars with broken hearts due to the altitude (6,000ft with DAs in June probably in the 9,000ft range) Click here to enlarge

So freaking excited! My car is way too slow to bother, but I've got a couple friends planning on registering. A 800+hp Porsche 911 997? (2009 I believe), and a 500+ Hp 2003 S4 (upgraded big twins with a built block and machined head).

I need way more money......Click here to enlarge

Sweet - hopefully I'll see you there.

And I'm also not running - I thought about it, but the more I researched, the more I realized my car would be insanely slow compared to the others out there. I've got at least one coworker going with a TT C5 Z06 putting down over 1,000WHP in kill mode. He should do well. I've got another coworker with a sub 2,000lb stripped out Supercharged Elise that has about 300whp. Not sure if he's going yet. It is more setup for track events, so the 1/2 mile isn't really his baby, but I think he'd have fun.

Wish I could join. My car isn't on par with the rest of the big boys right now due to the stock clutch and DMFW. In a couple of months I should be good to go. This is a pretty damn good deal. This is with flight or just car transportation round trip?

It's in June this may be possible. I have to talk to Gintani. I'd hate to pay for everything and the car not be ready. I've been burned too many times doing that.

You totally should man and then stay for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb. It is going to be a bad ass week. And if you do come, make sure to stay at the Broadmoor:

My emphasis above in bold. One of the most amazing hotels you will ever stay at - it isn't going to blow you away with nightclub activity like Vegas might, but it is one of the most posh, beautiful places you'll ever stay. And there is only one other BMW/AMG competing for the BMW/AMG trophy right now. Come out!
