Insanity. That is a beautiful and remarkable starting platform. With it's usability and control baseline I think this will be something to behold when it's complete

Edit: beaten to the insane punch!

nice $#@!ing find sticky, i cannot wait. this car is going to be a grim reaper of sorts. i see BOV's but the turbos are well hidden. what it looks like to me is they used the outer exhaust pipes as the normal exhaust and have the inner, 3rd pipe, as the dump for the wastegates... notice the smaller diameter pipes before exit and the merge. again, like everyone has said, it's going to be insane, i cant wait for vids, i dont even need visuals, the audio will be well worth it im sure, just the their lambos.

The hardware on the mid engine cars is not the difficult part. They had their Murcielago hardware completed way before they even started on the tuning.

I dont see the justification for the kit. I love it dont get me wrong, insane, but how many kits will they need to sell to break even? There are only like 300 458's.

They don't tune the factory ECU, I think they use a motec setup actually.

Additionally, the M3 is constrained physically. These mid engine kits are great and come quickly because of the space they get to work with.

Plus, UGR is taking over that high end segment.

Even if they sell each kit for 100k. They would need to sell 10 kits to break even. And I doubt they will sell that many.

Its not like the gallardo kit, they probably sold 100s of those. This kit was more for publicity then anything IMO. Its good to see they can do it, but they are probably losing money.

Maybe, but they did the F430 kit, Murcielago kit, and to build these types of things cash has to be flowing in.

i dont think they will make there money back either unless it didnt cost what we think to fabricate it, this might sound funny but maybe its routine to them at this point, like Sticky said there is so much room under the hood of these cars that its not that much of a challenge to fabricate, i did something for my buddy with a Murci one day and i could damn near crawl into the engine it was so roomy.

300 458s? There were 399 Enzos, there are gonna be a few thousand 458s before they move on to the next generation. UGR is getting so good at this that it's almost not even a big deal to me any more, I see a new exotic and I pretty much expect UGR to be the first ones to twin turbocharge it.

I mean that in a good way, their cars are just nuts.

Yep, right now it is a bit rare but they will make a bunch of them just like the 430. It isn't that small of a market..

Eventually yes, but im talking about right now there are very few 458's. And they also have a recall because adhesive in the rear quarter panel catches on fire, numerous 458s have burned down. Not to get off topic, im sure UGR is dealing with the same issue.

Ok, put together a single turbo kit for the S65 and clean up the market. I'm waiting, cash in hand.
