    65 AMG M275 V12 motor for sale - only $8995

Just found this randomly, seems like a very good deal. Motor is located in Toronto:

Up for sale is a used engine for Mercedes Benz AMG. Complete engine, comes with all coils, harness, water pump, alternator, all pullies and belt. 66,000kms on the engine. Excellent condition and no signs of any leaks. Oil is good and so are the air filters. Located in Toronto. This engine is heavy so I prefer pick up only.

I heard it's a 600 motor. not much difference than the 65 which has bigger turbos, injectors and Cams from what I hear. Of course there is no replacement for displacement. LOl... that too.

    The 65's and 600's don't both have K24's?

They do but internal wheels are different from one to the other.

Good to know, wonder why 600 guys don't swap to the 65 manifold/turbos then for the new wheel. Maybe it just isn't worth it?

For the gains not worth to remove the motor. I heard that Hartmut (Renntech) put 65 tubros on his personal 600 car and he gained merely 20rwhp. I believe if you upgrade to 65 injectors and add the 65 cams you might get close to 65 power.

I see, I guess if messing with the turbos might as well go big or go home.

It's also because on a 600, you can get the same, if not better, performance as a stock 65, with just a tune. That would net you ~80-100HP and ~125+TQ for about $1500.00. The cost per-HP grows astronomically from there. Call me crazy, but having a low 11sec, high 10sec 600, for $1500-$2000 is the better alternative.

I understand, but the 65 has higher headroom due to the wheel and displacement.

If this one is sold, there is a crashed CLS65 here in Iceland with only 6.000kms on it... car is totaled, and will not be repaired..

    I
might be able to get you in touch with the owner, if interested.

Motor has been started and is in good condition.
